babies born out of wedlock

So i read this article today about how the majoirity of babies born in America and now to single moms that are not married... the article said 50.4% of babies are born out of wedlock for women under 30....
So my question is what do you think this means?? Do you think it is a downward trend in the society that women are having children earlier ??

I wouldn't say a downward trend because years ago women were married and having kids at 16 and 17 years old. I would say that there is a lot of premarital relations going on and birth control is not 100% full proof.
