i didnt get much sleep last night, i have been waiting for this appointment for 3 weeks and a lot of issues need to be answered when i talk to the doctor.
my husband need to explain that i have a very sensitive body and most medicine seems to affect me differently so that is another thing my doctor needs to accommodate.
I hope the new Doctor is far better than our previous one, the receptionist called me early this morning to ask me a few thing and told me that my previous doctor doesnt seem to communicate with them that well - go figure! i have the same complain.
i am happy that i got all my records from them and can easily bring it have it in case it is needed.
i am very grateful that my husband is very supportive to me.
i was sleepless and he hug me many times last night asking me that everything will be alright.
i know everything will be alright, but i have something going on right now and it is not an easy thing.
I just hope that the doctor i have right now knows what he is doing LOL
I read the reviews about him and it states that he is pretty good and one of the best in my area so i am keeping my fingers cross.
the office seems to be very kind already so hope that keeps up.
they are not far from us about 15 minutes away from us, i already answered all the question they have online, therefore i dont need to sit and write a lot of stuff when i get there - pretty neat indeed!
anyway, i need to keep going and will keep you posted!
to make this a discussion, how's your day so far?
any great news?
nervous?
happy?
looking forward to hear your share?
have a good one!

I wish you well. If your doctor is even half as nice as the new one we just got at our surgery you'll be fine. I am going through a bit of a rough patch healthwise and I'm so glad to have her support.I think it makes a big difference if the reception staff are friendly and efficient & that all the staff get on well together. Your husband sounds very supportive and will make sure you get the best attention.
My day's been a bit up & down as I have some big decisions to make but, I'll get there. I'm looking forward to getting back to work next week (not sure how long for but.. one day at a time )
Good luck and take care.

hello wizzywig,
Thank you for the support and for sharing your story.
i am sorry to hear that you have a rough time as well, i wish you well and all the best in life.
you are right, just take it one at a time. like can be rough sometimes but the fact that we have a loving support next to us make a huge difference in our life.
The doctor and all the staff are great they are like night and day compared to my last doctor, i just cant believe that there are people like the one i had 6 weeks ago - they are just horrid!
yeah, my husband is a very supportive man. sometimes i feel bad that i have to worry so much - most of the time i cant help it it is part of the hormone my thyroid is producing so i just try to be aware of it.
anyway, i hope your weekend is better than today and i hope that you can keep your work longer than what you expect.
i know how hard it is not to have a work, my husband had the same for a long time and so am i but we get by.
just keep up the faith and work it out.
somehow like you said - it works!
I wish you all the best and again thank you for the kind support.
have a good one!

you're very much welcome!
i guess we're even now coz you gave me one heck of a kind words haha!
yes, i am very pleased bout the doctor i hope all doctors are like him or our family doctor then i can be sure that everybody is in great hands
your situation sounds like my husband.
he was sick from pneumonia as well and have to take 3 weeks leave, we are just happy that his boss is such a kind boss and he make sure that my husband is just taking a lot of rest and not pushing himself to work.
sometimes i feel bad that i am not working BUT he told me that i am already working hard enough to take care of him, the pets and the home.
im sure some day i will need to work and help him out specially once we have a kid.
haha, yeah im bad with plans too often most of the planned stuff turned out to the the exact opposite of it so most of the time i just go with the flow except of course if its life threatening and or there is no way out and it is only me that needs to do the move - then by then no matter how much my plan failed i will keep trying till my trying is not working i will still find a different way out.
anyway, i wish you all the best.
enjoy your weekend!
good night!

I'm lucky too in that my manager has been very laid back about my absence. However, depending on what which route I decide to take next, I may need to take a further couple of months off so I cant be sure I will have a job at the end of it. My allowance is 1 month on full pay and 2 at half pay and I've already had a total of 8 weeks. Meanwhile, I shall just carry on being my usual silly self
take care

hi jairgirl,
i am so sorry to hear about that. but i am glad you finally get the opportunity to see the doctor.
well, i don't want to be the second doctor () and diagnose you regarding your problem. i just read in a book about yoga that the sleepless condition can be a symptom of the imbalance of the glandular system's function, especially the thyroid gland. a marked over-secretion of the thyroid hormone (thyroxine) - hyperthyroidism - will cause extreme nervousness, heart palpitation or sleeplessness, gastro-intestinal disturbances, tremors and rapid pulse, excessive perspiration, and loss of weight.
if the function of glandular system is the problem, it can be solved by doing certain yoga postures regularly. well, i don't know if you care about yoga, but this exercise is really great and don't takes to much energy to practice it because it's a low-impact exercise. practicing it, you can improve your thorough health. i practice for years and i feel the benefit.
anyway, good luck with your seeing the doctor. hope he can solve the problem, so you don't need to suffer from it any longer.

that's great you are practicing yoga also , and pilates. you were very lucky to meet a yoga master.
yes we don't need to master and practice lots of (advanced) postures to get the benefit of yoga. that doesn't depends on how many postures we can perform, but, - well, you already know how regular and sincere we practice it. if we can only practice 4 or five basic yoga postures, we will still get the benefit.
attending a class is also more advised than practicing alone at home especially if we are a beginner, as we can get advice from the teacher on what postures suitable with us, because not all postures fit our condition and meet our need. certain postures treat certain glands (and muscles, internal organ, etc). like shoulder stand + fish pose are a good pair of posture to treat our thyroid gland, balancing its function.
keep practicing the basic without making your situation worse.
hope your seeing the doctor goes well. happy week end and take care.....

hello sutanhartanto,
thank you so much for the support, great to see you here!
anyway, i appreciate the sharing of thoughts and knowledge.
i love yoga, i did it for 2 years as well as pilates.
as of now i can only do the first base of yoga as i am not supposed to exercise and make my situation worst.
as you read it, hyperthyroidism can cause you to be more tired, palpitation and blah blah blah LOL so as much as possible i need to be away from that till the doctor tells me so.
i even have my own yoga and pilates dvd and other exercising stuff at home so im looking forward to be back to that routine as well.
i love yoga and pilates coz it helps me to sleep and relax as well as help me to breath better.
i met a great indian yoga master when i was in china and he is very great. i sure miss the gym haha.
i will keep you posted what happens next.
enjoy your weekend!
appreciate your post!
ciao!!!

ohh...that is cool at least you can feel that this new doctor is very much willing to help you sincerely and serious about checking you first before giving prescription! I can't believe about how your previous doctor handle you, i mean very unprofessional! Anyway, wish he will change since he is handling people!
ABout me, not having all my needed docs yet for having a regular job..I stopped my volunteer work this time and prefer to be home and work online! LOL! I enjoy earning here but that's it, I was inactive for the past few days..I am back anyway and was trying to be active with 2 sites both forum..Go Go Go with our goal this year!
Just relax and do not pressure yourself! and do not worry too much about your health! Pray will help you feel good and I know you have all the support of your hubby! Take care!

Hi Sweetie. I am glad you are finally seeing the new doctor. So far everything about them sounds positive. And they weren't really happy with the way the other doctor acts either. Let me know what you find out. I'll be praying for ya.
Hugs,
Carolyn

hello carolyn,
thanks for the support and the prayers.
My new doctor is very kind and well aware of what he is doing, i like the fact that he is very logical and methodological as well.
the staff is wonderful and despite the fact that our insurance company is being a pain, they are very kind to help us pull it through. my hubby needs to call the insurance company on monday and can you believe that they outsource the customer service in india?
the secretary told me that they are like reading a scripted answer and it is very frustrating.
anyway, the doctor told me that my hyperthyroidism is mild case and he needs to do further test and will know a few result on monday.
he said he cannot prescribe me medication yet because i have a very sensitive body and he dont want to make the situation worst so he want to see the test first and then move forward from that.
he said based on my physical test ... he thinks i am very healthy and there is nothing to worry...
my body is just way too relieved that i am sleepy all day. i didnt get a chance sleep much last night so it is kicking into me now.
i will keep you posted by tuesday and another update after i see my obgyn on wednesday.
again, thank you for the kindness.
i wish you a wonderful weekend.
hugs

Hi Sweetie. Sounds like you found a really great doctor. I am thrilled for you. And the fact that he is taking your issues into consideration and not pushing meds without more facts is fantastic. I'll wait to hear back from you but it sounds like you are in good hands.
Blessings,
Carolyn
