yesterday i posted a wonderful, yummy recipe for tandoori chicken.
it was deleted.
so, although i am not about to go down THAT path again.
suffice it to say that if you love tandoori chicken (indian dish)
that i just learned to use sour cream instead of the traditional yogurt.
since i can't post a recipe. i guess people will have to scan for the
recipe and substitute sour cream.
this makes it richer tasting.
now you can grill, bake or fry this chicken recipe.
does anyone make tandoori chicken?
do you use yogurt?
are you willing to try sour cream?
do you grill, bake or fry this recipe?

I so love tandoori chicken. I should cook it more often. I have used yogurt and I have used sour cream. I think both recipes are great. I make the type where you bake a whole chicken, but you have to start the preparations the day before.
I blend the spices and mix them with the yogurt, spread that over the chicken, then put it in the fridge for 24 hours. The next day, I bake it. It is to die for! My husband just has a fit when I make that with all the fixin's (dal, flat bread, and some other vegetables for me). I need to dig that recipe up...

I love tandoori chicken and make it at home too. I use a gas tandoor( a tandoor or grill that can be kept straight on the gas). You can get the authentic taste with a grill using coal. I prefer using this recipe for the dish and use yogurt and notsour cream. http://www.ifood.tv/recipe/tandoori_chicken

Actually its wierd but i am a very big fan of tandoori chicken as it tastes like heaven and it is completely out of the world depending how it is been cooked. Every week i daily eat 4-5 times tandoori chickn. Though i never learned to cook it but i know this that u hav to marinate the chicken otherwise its taste and flavour wont com out. Tandorii is generaly grilled and if u hav a good microwave then its very goooood for tandooris just keep in mind the electricity bill of the month
No hard fellings okie
