Tom Brady was hurt in the first quarter of the first game of the NFL season. He has a torn ACL and MCL in his left knee.
What do you think this does to the Patriots chances of winning the superbowl?
We will have to see how Matt Cassel does. He did hook up with Randy Moss for a touchdown in first game after coming in for Brady. I think they still are a playoff team but most likely won't win the superbowl this year.

I thought that even before the injury to Brady the New England Patriots were coming back to the pack in the AFC; an older defense and everyone's best shot on a weekly basis would have made it difficult for them to do anything. Now, without Brady, I think there are a number of teams that have overtaken the Pats. Indianapolis (even though they lost) and San Diego (even though they lost) are better, and teams like Jacksonville and Buffalo could make some noise. I think thwy could make a run for the playoffs, but the SUper Bowl is very unlikely IMO.
