Why did dogs bark all night long? Will something happen?

Yesterday night, I didn't sleep well. The dogs here barked all night long. I have a presentiment that something, like rainstorm, even earthquake, will happen. However, I don't hope so anyway.
In May, an terrible earthquake happened. At the time, animals behaved differently though no one payed close attention. It was but the day before yesterday, I still blame them who were so careless about the animal behaviors. Now, I understand them. I was curious of the dogs. Notwithstanding, I won't do anything but a little worry. If I call the 911 (110 here), the corps must think I am crazy.
Thus, there is something that I can't control. Even if something happens, natural selection will be what it is...

Our dog barks alot when she heard something noise.It doesn't mean theres a someone out there but just something that creates noise.So probably thats what happened to your dog.Before when my hubby was out of town and only me and my daughter left sleeping at night and when our dog barks alot i feel nervous and scared.But i am glad we are always safe.

Well ,I don't think the abnormal of the animals will means that there must be something happen. The disaster may bring the abnormal of the animals. but in the contrary, It's untenable. So ,we don't need to worry about the abnormal behavior of the animals. Just believe our science,and live in a safe place.:)

Some animals seem to have a 6th sense about such things like an earthquake about to occur. In that case, I've always thought that they felt subtle vibrations from the earth that humans cannot feel. Some animals seem to have special gifts like those who can detect cancer long before our diagnostic tools can pick it up, or that cat that knows when someone is about to die.
Here in Texas, dogs who bark all night are probably barking at a stray animal like a skunk or an opossum.
