All I can say is, they will milk this for all that it is worth for as long as possible, until they can re- coup the loses that they had, and that will take some time. Mother Nature threw us a bad curve, just when things were looking up. But in a way we maybe do have to understand where they are coming from. who knows for sure though...

It's going to go up even more now that Ike is hitting Texas. We are all doomed, we need to turn to natural gas to fuel our cars, yesterday....

That is our hike I hope. About 4 days ago it was $3.49. Now it is close to $5.50. I hope this is all that we will see as a result from Ike. We can't handle much more.

Hey my favorite friend! What's up? No I hate to tell you but, I took a cab today, oh wait that would be yesterday now because it's 3:30 am NY time. The cab cost me $8.00 for going 2 blocks from the grocery store to my apartment! I swear I walked to the store, but can't carry a grocery cart full of stuff home in the pouring rain so I had no choice. Usually, I drag the damn wagon home up the hill and across the streets. It's not a pleasant walk, but it beats that cab fare. It had gone up $2.00 since the last time I took it and that was less than a month ago. So the cabs are taking advantage of the gas prices too. They are jacking up the fares too! It's just out of control. I don't drive so I do alot of walking! At this point I'm glad I live in walking distance to alot of stores and public transportation!

Hello, My Bestest Friend. It has probably been 3 or 4 years since I have rode in a cab. I only do when my car is in the shop and I can't get a ride. Everyone seems to be going up because of gas. My husband is self employed, he is thinking of going up $3.00 per hour. Milk goes up, bread, veges, and just about anything else you can think of. My son doesn't have a job, and is having trouble finding one. I'm sure gas falls in there some where. I live 3 miles from work, I may have to walk.
