Violence starts within the home. I think better education and awareness of what's going on would help us lessen the violence. I say lessen because things like these don't easily go away. It can't be eliminated in a snap. Good education would be the best way to lessen violence against women around the world. Educate our children, parents, people around us. It is never too late.

In one of the studies and social observations, the very reason why violence against women exist because most of the time in a relationship men feel like they own the women and that it reflects on how they treat women like an object. Another explanation is because of the machoism which is pretty evident since we live in a patriachal societ.
What can be done is to treat every woman the way any human beings be treated.

Violence as a whole is horrible. I don't agree with war, murder, or abuse. Women are abused on a daily basis all over the world. I find it admirable when women stand up for themselves and leave their oppressors, however this is not the regular action of women. Either these helpless victims begin to beleive that they deserve the abuse, they stick around so their children will have a father, they're scared to leave or the worst of all they come to beleive that this is how all men act. Being of the male gender, it sickens me how men come to beat and hit women and children for anger or sport. It gives us all a bad name. I think that, as someone said before me, education is the key. We must show these victims that abuse should not be accepted. We must teach these monsters to vent their anger in another manner. We can't just shove them in a jail cell where violence is more prevalent, just for them to go back to beating the same girl up or finding a new victim. We need to show them a different outlet.

ya i agree..no matter how you jail a person he will do his act to kill or beat someone without mercy because of the environment in jail cell..somehow education is the key to enlighten our minds as part of rehabilitation process.. thanks for replying my discussion :)
