I would have to say recently my stress level has reached a five. I was recently laid off from my job, and my husband has not been able to make much money on his job, so the financial burden has brought a lot of stress in our lives. Unemployment is at an all time high, there are jobs out there, but millions of people are vying for the same jobs, so it makes getting employment very hard.
I am trying to deal with the stress, and I think I am doing a good job, but I have the stress none the less.

few people like who share their problems that makes them stress.. you know what my professor said that one of the factor that lessens your stress is telling your friends about your problem even though they can't do anything, at least you share your burden to them..thanks for replying my discussion :)

Er...it fluctuates from year to year. For like four years of my life, it was a full five on a daily basis. Last year it was two, this year's been between two and three so far.

Most of the stress was due to situations beyond my control, so that's why it went down...my life got slightly more stable, lol.
My only advice is to manage stress, 'cause if I hadn't I woulda burst a long time ago. Everyone has different means, I found time for personal escapes -- specifically, writing. Having an outlet to pump all one's frustration, angst, emotion into...is very helpful for reducing stress. Or at least the pressure stress places on us.

I'd rate it as 4. I guess it depends how you see the stress in your life. There are actually two kinds of stress, distress and eustress. I'd like to think of the challenges in my life as eustress. That way I don't become overwhelmed with what is happening to me at work and at home.

Well, I could say that stress rate differs from day to day. Personally, I guess I'll rate my life in stress level 2.5 to 3. On typical days like the past week and this week until today, there isn't much to think of because I believe all is going well. But during the last week of last month, I definitely was stressed out because I had to make a trip to the province for our daughter's third birthday celebration. We celebrated it on a Saturday but as early as Friday morning, I availed of my vacation leave from work and headed to my hometown. After five to six hours, I finally arrived there.
But all wasn't rest for me. Late in the afternoon, my daughter and I went to a mall to purchase a pair of sandals for her and some accessories. We also dined out.
It's just disappointing that we weren't able to go out with my spouse because he worked until Saturday afternoon. But he arrived on Sunday morning to fetch us (me and our daughter) and we went to visit my in-laws in another town of the province. We stayed there until Tuesday morning but I would say that somehow, I was able to rest and spend quality time with our daughter. It felt great.
