Hello to everyone who happens to have given their time on reading this discussion of mine (^_^ ) I'm among those kind of gamers who likes any game the get to play like fighting (Street Fighter as well as other versus games of CAPCOM), action (Devil May Cry would be a nice example), sports (Tony Hawk's Pro Skater series), first-person-shooters (like Counter-Strike and HALO), role-playing games (some of the Final Fantasy game series), racing (I won't get tired with BurnOut), a few simulation games (like The SIMs 2), have tried a couple of real time strategies (Command and Conquer as a popular example), eroge (just Bible Black) and some puzzle games (just to ease out time every now and then) just to mention a few.. Recently, I've been into games with music. I really liked that Taiko Drum Master at the arcades for its simplicity, aside from Percussion Freaks and those other arcade games that requires players to move to the beat with either sensors or those dance pads (^_^ ) Played Guitar Hero on our console even without the actual guitar controller, still was fun. Then DJ Max Portable 2 on my hand held.. I was really getting unamused with that online game Audition. Good thing a friend of mine mentioned HighStreet5. I immediately went to the site and checked it out. So much for eye candy, I went and got the installer. It was great! (^_^ ) How about you? What kind of gamer do think you are and what are some of the games that you instantly recall playing whenever you hear action, sports, adventure and all those other types? Who knows? You might mention something that would catch the attention of other gamers as well as try it out for themselves.. (^_^ )

Before, I was also like you dude. I was into fighting games like Marvel vs. Street fighter/Capcom 1 and 2, and Tekken. I used to play Command and Conquer as well, particularly Red Alert 2 and Generals, as well as a bit of Warcraft. Now, I'd say I'm more of an online RPer than before. No, not those RPing games like Ragnarok and such. I'm talking about real online RPing, the type where you really have to act and type out your character's particular responses to certain situations. See, I'm currently playing an online RPG based on the card game Magic: the Gathering, where I have the role of a lone zombie master/necromancer, and my spells are all taken from the said card game. It's a bit of a hassle, especially since almost all of the people I'm interacting with are either from U.S., Canada or Australia, but I've gotten used to it and it actually improved my written grammar skills as well. So yeah, if you want to give it a shot, just ask, and I'll send you the address. ^^ ~RP = Role-Playing

Ja dude. All you need is to register your email address to the site. However, you need to make a write-up of your own character profile in order for you to start RPing.

You seem more into racing games.. you happen to even have a steering wheel controller whenever you play those games?

So you wouldn't really try a steering wheel controller for those racing games at all? Honestly, I haven't tried it myself since I am more convenient with console controllers when it comes to racing, fighting as well as action games.. (^_^ )

My favorite game is Quake 3 and I've played it regularly in multiplayer since it came out 10 years ago. Then another multiplayer game...Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory. I love that game and I think it's the best team multiplayer game ever since you really have to rely on your team and can't do anything alone. I also enjoyed one mod in UT2004- onslaught. I was one of the best onslaught players in the world at the time when it came out (no kidding) and got many offers to play it professionally but I liked only one map in the entire game so I refused and got back to playing Quake. When it comes to singleplayer my all time favorite is Deus Ex. It's cyberpunk FPS/RPG where you can take whatever approach you want to finish the missions. It's a FPS but you can finish the entire game without firing a single shot. Then there's another great game with similar approach- System Shock 2. I'm also looking forward to Play Bioshock but my computer is too old to run it. When it comes to pure FPS games, Half-Life wins, hands down. Even so many years after it came out...Best action adventure I played was Fahrenheit. Felt like I'm watching good TV series. Starcraft is the best RTS game ever and no one can argue with that. Warcraft 3 is good too. My favorite RPG would be again, Deus Ex. Then Pokemon red/blue/yellow for Game Boy. I spent countless hours with it and cough them all:) I gotta mention Dungeon Siege (sorry Diablo 2) and Morrowind. Love them. Virtua Fighter 2 is my all time favorite fighting game. It's more realistic game and you had to really learn counter to every move unlike in Tekken when even new players can win just by pressing buttons furiously. Then of course Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter 2. I have Street Fighter 2 Turbo for PC but can't make it work no matter what I do. Haven't played much sport games but the one I really liked and hated at the same time was NHL 2002. It's pretty frustrating cause I always played it on hard mode and when you're winning, computer figures it's not hard enough and you receive 2 goals in next 30 seconds. Destroyed a keyboard because of it. I kinda prefer crazy arcade driving over realistic so my favorite was Rollcage and Deathcarz. Although Deathcarz is a future racing with weapons, it was really closer to simulation actually. Sometimes you just have to ignore the weapons completely and concentrate on driving since the game was so damn hard and you had to really give it a time and learned how to cut corners. Favorite adventure? Broken Sword 2. Silent Hill 2 for the best horror and Microsoft Pandora's Box for the greatest puzzle game. Almost forgot the platformers...it's a tie between Super Mario World 2 and Sonic The Hedgehog 2 but kinda like Mario a little more since it was the first game I've ever played.

You certainly have a good range of gaming there. Most of the games that you have mentioned are games from the PC.

Hmmmmm. It's nice to see a fellow player who also like a few games. I used to have Play-station one where i played Resident-Evil 2, 1 and finally 3. then, my play station disappeared and i started playing in my PC with Red Alert Tiberian Sun and then it came to Yuri's revenge. i got another update beyond Yuri. then, i got the sims and the sims 2. but sadly the upgrade has only reached OPen for Business expansion. for now, that's all my games in the PC.

Most of the games you mentioned involve conflict in a grand scale it seems.. Splinter Cell, Halo, Ghost Recon, Rainbow Six and even Knights of the Old Republic in more ways than one share it.. (^_^ ) Have you played one of the Metal Gear Solid series? Espionage wouldn't be espionage without stealth after all (^_^ )

Does those on line games have items only available when you actually pay it for real money converted to some kind of point in the game and not available when only using the game's currency?

The RTS and RPG are the best for me. I still play diablo1 and diablo 2, i also love the Elder Scrols Morrowind and the Oblivion. In RTS i'm a Comand and conquer fan, and age of empires. Ocassionaly i play other games just for fun, like need for speed, unreal tournement. But the FPS like unreal i don't play much. I also play eye toy and buzz, these are very fun

I would assume that you are more of a PC gamer than on consoles... I once played Diablo and my friend who encouraged me to play even told me to bring my own flopy disk to save my game? (^_^") Still at computer shops though and I wasn't able to continue playing it due to limited funds from whatever money I could call my own back then.. Hmmmm, Elder Scrolls Morrowind.. a single player game or others can join in the game? I recall an elder brother of mine mentioning Age of Empires and using cheats to enable the gamer to use advance weapons even when the time of the current game isn't right for it yet.

Then your computer would probably be rigged with the best specs to accommodate the best gaming experience?
