There are times I deliberately avoid watching TV and news. Why? I get so annoyed with people complaining about this and that but in reality they are not doing much to help themselves. You could see people blaming the government for their life’s misfortunes. I am not saying the government is exemplary, in fact I think they should be doing more to serve the people. What I am thinking is that some people are so quick to blame others for their situation but they themselves are not doing much to change.are you a person always say thanks to God for what HE has done ?

Absolutely and I think the gov needs to concentrate MORE on the ppl who ARE POOR and in DESPERATE need of help when the cold hard reality is they concentrate more on the ppl who are doing fine and even those who are well to do..And its not just like that in the U.S, I'd noticed before moving here it was somewhat becoming that way in Canada too and it angers the hell outta me to be honest with you
What I am thinking is that some people are so quick to blame others for their situation but they themselves are not doing much to change
Yea I see that all the time..especially here in the U.S..I've noticed that ppl here have that mentality that the world OWES them something ya know....(for the record my American husband, family members and friends agree more often than not, particularly if they've lived or spent extended amounts of time in Canada) Seems to me that ppl ARE far too quick to blame others rather than step up and take responsiblity for their actions, choices and methods.....
Am I like that? pfft hell no....I know where I came from, what put me there and EVEN THOUGH I'm not FULLY to blame, the choices I made later on in life were just that "CHOICES I MADE"..Do I thank any god though? no not at all...I got to where I am in life today because I'm a strong, determined woman and because I was willing to do the work needed to get here ya know...

this is a wonderful post. i should say that i am always thankful for my blessings too. i guess it should always be like that for all of us. we all have to be thankful for what we have received. being thankful of what we have sometimes identify how appreciative we are of what we get and this shows our contentment too.

I don't always impute faults and wrongs on others.
I know I am being unreasonable to do that.
The only thing that I have to do now is working harder.

i totally agree with you a lot of people would try to blame others about their misfortunes and life but they are not doing anything about it at all. i think what we all need is to exhaust all mean on how to improve our way of life before blaming others about it.
going back to your question, i don't fail to thank God for all the things He has given and entrusted under my care may it be big or small. i would be best that we appreciate the everything that is given to us and be happy with all this blessings and opportunities even if it is not so good at all for this will make us better persons. just my two cents. :)

I beleive that what makes a person get in a mode where they blame everything and everyone is the beginning signs of depression . If you are uanble to be happy with what you have , as well all have something to be grateful for , it is not always as easy to be happy about this when you have so many other things going on in your life .
There is a positive thinking movie out that a friend is trying to get me to watch as she says it help you to see that when you are happy with life and you try to live the way you are saying that somehow things do seem to run more smoothly and I agree with her to an extent .
How does one really go about changing how they feel when things are not going well and they have a lot of worries going on in their life ? How does one change and get themselves out of the rut they are in ? How do you act like nothing is wrong in your life when you feel so lost ?
All of those are reasons why I believe others complain about the government and blame there problems on everyone and everything else , because they are looking for someone or something to blame . They need to find something that will make them not feel less adequate .
Now I am not saying this is the right thing to do but merely trying to explain why we see people doing this so often in life .
Good discusion :)

As someone who was poor, and is barely not poor anymore...I'd like to say that it pains me when people complain about things they can actually do something about, when they act spoiled as if they're entitled to whatever they lost due to their own stupidity. On the other hand, I have the greatest sympathy to the people who -were- actually cheated by companies (sometimes because of loopholes the government's created FOR the companies), and for those who weren't doing very well to begin with and were hit hard.
I'm always thankful for what I have...because life's taught me that nothing is forever, and so you have to appreciate things while you have them...because you never know when you won't.
Blame is a common thing, I think it stems from selfishness and pride, mostly. Sometimes with a dash of confusion as well.

It is upsetting when I see people crying over the smallest things and acting like the world has ended when there are so many people out tee who can't even feed their chldren. I rarely hear people thank God for what they have and it really pleases me when I hear it. I think people are quick to complain! It's just always been that way.

I like to be thankful for the things that I have, yes. I count my blessings and I am happy for things instead of complaining or blaming the Lord for my issues. Sometimes I do lay blame but then I think about it and realize I shouldn't do that.
People do seem to complain about their lives but need to learn to help themselves. And I do believe the government would do well to serve the people more.

I think, people don't want to take responsabilities for their actions, neither they want to accept some of the bad things that happen to them is because of their own fault. They just blame it into the first thing they see.
I try not to be like that, but nobody is perfect =d, but anyways I am most of the times thankful for what I have xD.

people will always blame others for their own shortcomings, human beings find it easier to lay blame on others than on themselvs its the way of the world, especially if they are the type to do nothing about their life situation and want to sit easy and expect things to go smoothly, which usually never happens anyway, and to be honest there is no goverment that is completely efficient, you will always find fault in your government and this cuts across the globe, the is question what do you do about your situation? do you sit and wait for the government to come and rescue you? or do you handle your situation by yourself? remember the government is comprised of appointed persons, and this people have their problems too, not often will they concerntrate with your issues and put their problems aside.

I went through a spell of not so much blaming others for my situation but feeling resentful when I say someone happier than myself. But the minute I made the decision that I was in control of my life and feelings then it was easier to be thankful for what I had.
