There are many places that we all visit over the years, but there are certain places that always stay in our minds.Maybe its because something special happened to us whilst we were there.Maybe its because it was a good family day out,or the weather was brilliant, the scenery was extra special.I am sure there are many of us that have a `special` place, one that will always remain in our minds for one reason or another.Have you a special place,a place that you really enjoyed visiting?

Hi ruby, In our Country, I always love to visit my parent's place, it's like semi island and the ocean is very beautiful, very clean and very fresh! It's far from the city and you will really enjoy the view as well as the mountain on the other side! We had little boat and we use to fish there, collect shells as well as just taking a fresh air! This time, one businessman had a resort which is very famous there and it is also quite expensive....I always love the place! I attached link for you to see part of the place! http://www.antulang.com/new/main.html

It is very nice really but far from the City and most people don't like that! LOL! When I am there, as early as 8 am, I am ready to sleep already since you will not hear anything except the air and crickets..LOL!

Hi ya ruby222 I remember when I was a kid that most Sundays my parents would insist on going for a walk which I used to hate, I used to hate walking. I was the youngest and everyone always walked so much faster than me and I would get tired before anyone else but really it was always a lovely day out and having got back to the house would always feel happy that I had done it. One of the best places we used to go was on a walk on the clifftops from one beach to another and past a shipwreck that you could only see by going really close to edge held tightly by my mum!

Now I can tell you a tale here Humbugmy sweetness, every sunday ,if the weather would allow,I would bundle the kids into their anorakes and wellington bots and off we would go,they were only small, but god love them they used to walk for miles lol,we always used to take a little picninc, and a few goodies,we used to have an ice cream maybe if the shop was open too. They look back on these walks now as being a form of torture!but lol there was one very good thing about it all,the excercise made them feel tired,so when we got home it was a hot bath, then tea,a little television and then off to bed,oh those were the days Humbug.Did you like your walks or were they torturous?

Hi ruby actually I have never gone to glastonbury Festival either and really have never wanted to..the reason I go there is as I am a pagan it is for the rituals etc at certain times of year also it is a very spiritual palce with lots of history and legends...the oldest pub/hotel in the UK is there and being on ley lines their is an awsome amount of energy...it is a fantastic place..littleowl

Olango island, and where abouts in the world is that, ive not heard of that island.but it sounds lovely. The good places we have been to always stay in our memories, the good family holidays, the picnics ,the walks in the woods ,exploring nature, picking the bluebells and taking them home as though they were some exotic flower lol.

Awww ive loads of favourite places to visit ,I like to go to visit any place of interest, and love to visit country churches,OK it may seem a bi of an odd hobby or a day out,but they are very interesting,I was in one recently that had gravestones dating back to the 1700s and that is old,the carvings on them were still in relatively good condition and the inscriptions were still readable. The church itself was being restored by English heritage, and they were doing a grand job too,the floor was being out back dowen, with asll the huge slabs of stone that had been dedicated to large important families within the village. It was a real good experience to see the restoration in progress,I am hoping to revisit at some point to see how the progress is.

Yes Bobby lol there are some who would say it was a little bit of an odd hobby ,going visiting graveyards!but I know there are many people who love to do that kind of day out,and look at the heritage of our country. There are some who like to take `rubbings` from the stones ,a smilar thing to brass rubbings I suppose. But I myself like looking at old church yards, and places of worship, they are fascinating.I also love to look at the old organs that played the church music, lovely thoughts here.

Hello ruby. I also have some favorite places, but among them all, my favorite is the capital city of Zhejiang Province in China, Hangzhou City, which is famous for its beautiful West Lake and its culture. It is always my favorite. Like CCTV Channel 9 broadcasts on TV, "Hangzhou is the most beautiful city in China". I think that it is true indeed. I live and work at a small town one-hour ride to Hangzhou. Whenever I go to Hangzhou, I get very excited and would like to pay a visit to the beautiful lake and the downtown district for some shopping as well. Thank you for your discussion, my dear friend. Good day.

Hello and yes it sound svery tempting!but believe it or not unusually for a female im not very much of a shopper,I would rather sight see,or look at a garden or a place of interest or beauty rather than go shopping. Now we have just spent time staying with my sister in law and her husband, and she is a shopaholic, self confessed mind you,she says she feels hard done by if she isnt able to visit the shops regyularly, and seeing as she is very near to Dundee where the shops are excellent then she certainly isnt deprived lol,we had to spend time looking in the local shops and lo and behold, the object of her desire was there, hanging on the rack,a pale green cotton dressing gown, now had that been me I would have been asking myself did I really need another dressing gown, but no,she was adamant that this was going t obe bought,it was to hang beside the other three dressing gowns she already had!!!

I love traveling but I didn't have the chance to travel that much until this year. I went to different cities within my country a couple of months ago. I'd say that the province of Palawan is definitely the best place I've ever been so far. The marvelous view and the wonderful nature really swept me off my feet.^^ So, as of the moment if I'm given a chance to choose a favorite spot or destination, I guess my answer would be Palawan.^^ Happy mylotting...!

Baguio must be avery good place to go as you are the second person to have recommended it,a popular holiday destination I should think.I do know how you associate food and drink with a particular holiday,we have time and time again re visited places and returned to the same restaurants to eat the same delicious fare ,often the owners have recognised us as having been there before, and on one particular occasion it was our anniversary and the owner brough out two glasses each containing a flaming sambuco,Oh it was hot and fiery, but delicious to drink, but you wouldnt need to overdo it with them though.

Me and the missus love Blackpool ,its a great place to be,the air is fresh the chips are good and theres plenty of ale on the go.We go at least three maybe four times a year, staying in the same bed and breakfast, the b abd b has been owned by the same woman for twenty years, she is a good cook makes us a good fry up every morning, and a good filling evening meal,if we ask her she will make us a sandwich to take with us for our day time snack too.

Blackppo .ohhh Jerry that brings back some memories,we went many years ago, just Mr Ruby and myself,we stayed in a spotless bed and breakfast, which I have to admit was first classBut then on day two we decided to go and explore, well I wanted to go and buy a book,it was a particular book I was looking for,a poetry book, well we walked for what seemed to be miles before wqe could find any shops at all!eventually we managed to find a few shops, and there to my utter delight was a W H Smiths newsagents shop, and I went book hunting.wE SAW THE ILLUMINATIONS,THEY WERE VERY ENJOYABLE,AND WE WENT TO SEE A SHOW ON THE PIER,BUT IT WAS A LITTLE RIBALD FOR MY TASTE,BUT THEY HAD ISSUED A WARNING BEFOREHAND,BUT THERE WERE PARTS OF IT THAT MADE ME laugh..ohh that caps button is a real pain!!But im so happy you enjoy going off to Blackppol, its part of Great Britains heritage!

We used ti holiday in Devon and cornwall a lot when the children were small, and those were holidays that were always unforgettable, often it rained in Devon, but the holiday was still good.We used to caravan, and therefore we were on a holiday camping site, there was always something for thr children to do on those sites. Then in the evening they loved nothing better than top go to the childrens disco`s etc, they were good times, times of fun and laughter, though lol you needed a large wallet to take with you!

I consider staying at a beach is my favorite. I love water and swimming under the high rise of the sun is the best outing. Another place to be remarkable is at baguio city where the temperature is cold.
