Ok I added some friends yesterday and today I turned on all the notification button beside their name. Am I crazy? oh yes I think I will go crazy every time my mail notifies me that a friend of mine start another discussion, right now I am logged to more than 30 of friends discussion, ok I will try my very best to answer them all before I go nuts. But every time I have finished answering two or three discussions, 4 comes in. waaahh! I think I am gone crazy! Now if only these friends of mine would also turn on my notification to them, life would be happy and 200 or more people would be responding at my post! hurray! OK back to answering mode, I guess it will take me some days before I can back to my own discussions. Discussions from friends came pouring in! It's raining!

I think it's a big mistake. There's a section called "Dsicussions my friends started" for every mylot user. I just go there and check all the discussions my friens started without getting my mailbox spammed:P I think you can choose couple of your friends you're most friendly with and wait for their discussions but to have notifications about all of them. I don't think I could stand it xD

haha.. From the beginning when i joined mylot, i have turned on all my fren's notifications, and right now, i have 8 pages full of frenz in mylot, and all are turned on.. But not all of them are active, thus u need not be so scared, as there wun be a chance whereby all your frenz start new discussions everyday, every moment.. hehe =D If u want that to happen, u can try to stop yourself from logging in to mylot for a week or so, and u will be in for a huge surprise.. lol

Oh it won't just rain! A monsoon is coming! I had notifications turned on some time ago when I had less than 50 friends and it drove me absolutely insane! I was getting so many emails that it seemed as if my email account was a second mylot mirror site! lol. I ended up turning them off VERY quickly..... If you are able to keep on top of it all then good for you! It just didn't work out for me unfortunately.

Hi! I was gone for two years from myLot because I got so busy with my job. Just today, when I opened my friend requests, you are one of them and you made the request a year ago! Anyway, you are now officially my myLot buddy. Anyway, I had my friend notification ON before, but it really made my e-mail inbox so full! It was crazy! Now, I have it on OFF mode but before I start discussions, I would first go to discussions FRIENDS STARTED and respond as much as possible. Happy myLotting!

Hello there! Thanks for accepting my invitation to be one of your mylot friends. Oh I just send it a few days ago, how can it be a year ago? Yeah I am going crazy with all the notification, but in a positive way it is driving me to post more or respond to the discussions, you if ever start one right now, it will take me some days before I post a response on it, but I will surely do.

I guess you like to read emails. I turn on the ones for attractive females. I must admit to that horrible habit. Your case is something else. All 200 ? Email mania !

It could be a problem if you actually get the notifications, but I don't get them. Only on about 4 people. The rest I stumble upon in my mylotting times. I don't know why I don't get notified that friends have started discussions or even that I have received responses to discussions I've started, even though I have requested to be notified. I've checked several times and all boxes are checked or notifications turned on, yet I only get a few.

Nah, you aren't crazy. You might get a little annoyed after awhile, if each one of them start several discussions everyday, but other than that, don't think you have much to worry about. I have all my friend notifications turned on, since I can't be here daily, it gives me a way to keep up with each of the discussions my friends have started without having to log on, unless I have something to add to their discussion.

you are not crazy, if you are crazy then I must be too, as I have every notification for every friend on my list turned on! Although most of them have disappeared, most are inactive and most I do not get the notifications through anyway so I can actually cope with the ones that I do get.

Hey there Pehpot! Thanks for adding me as a friend here on mylot. I've enjoyed many of the discussions you started. I hope you won't change your avatar because when I see that baby in blue I know there's an interesting discussion just waiting for my response! Anyway, I don't read my myLot notifications anymore after receiving so many in the mail. I simply delete everything if it's from myLot, unless it's a payment haha. :)

At this time when I am doing my response for every discussion that my friend made their own post of discussion I always tell to myself that I would finished it all today at one time but for sure I am running out of time because for one person they are posting for more than 20 discussion in a day and it would really not make me finished until this time and I am always late to do my responses for I always make it backward with the incoming discussion i always made my responses unto the last date that I have in my e-mail.......

That is how I work too, so for my friends I would be answering their discussion but it would be a little late.

hi pehpot, i don't think anything is wrong in doing so. even i turn on the notifications of all my friends. the first thing i do after approving a friend is turn on the notification. i feel that by doing so i can take part in all the discussions that they have started and will never miss the good ones. happy mylotting!

yes it does! and also there is no way that you'll end up answering first other users discussion by not answering first your friends.

Its great to see that you have cooperative friends. Friends are easy to find and even add here on MyLot but the only hard part about them is they really reply to your started discussions. But you sure will get alerts about any of your 200 friends starting a discussion. It will be uphill task to answer all of the discussions started by them. Good luck in doing so.

I think it is a big mistake. I tried this for a while and I found my email got flooded and I quickly turned it off again. There are other ways to find out what friends are posting as there is a section on the home page devoted to it. I check there every day and go through the discussions that I feel I have something to contribute to. If you have 200 friends and you have notification turned on for all of them then you will get emails about every discussion they post but you will also get notified when they respond to a discussion and when they add a picture or an interest. It notifies you about every bit of activity they do and suddenly your cannot find your usual emails because there are so many mylot ones. I think you will find that you will drown in the rain and then you may have to turn them off again.

Hi there! We should really turn on the notification for our friend's discussions. That's why the feature is there cause I believe there is a purpose for it and that is to keep the bond going between friends here in mylot by responding to each other's discussions and always interacting with each other. More like just chatting and not the idea or the need to respond. I have notifications on always. But there are times that I don't get to be notified everytime a friend of mine starts a new discussion cause sometimes there are glitches or the emails are late. I don't know but I and others here experience it too. So I double check on them at friend's started tab. Ciao!

I don't have all my notification turned on just a few, I really don't like answering from my email, I like to read the others responses as well, seems as thought the ones I do have on notify don't start that many discussions, and some on my friends list aren't that active. So right now it is not a problem plus I only have 90 + on my fiends list.
