What A Way To Start The Day

Around 5am I was awakened from my slumber, by a friend phoning me and telling me she needed someone to hurry over to her house otherwise she just may end up doing something to harm herself. Being one who takes things like this seriously, I jumped out of bed, got dressed quickly, and drove over to her house as quickly as I could without breaking the law. Upon arriving at her house, everything was dark, so I jumped out of the car and frantically pounded on her door. Surprising not waking the neighbors as I did this. When she finally answered the door, she sounded cheerier than what she had previously sounded on the phone and started to laugh a little. I asked what was up and why she thought harming herself would solve any issue that she may have been having. She just said, nothing, she was just feeling lonely and wanted some company and never had any intentions of harming herself. At that point I was a little infuriated with her, since she knows how seriously I take things like that, having lost two previous friends to suicide in the past. I can understand about the feeling lonely part and would have been over to her house anyways without the need of her adding the "harm herself" part. Though I was mad with her, I told her that anytime she needed company to call and I'd be over, she had no need to tell a lie just to get me over, and told her to be careful about doing that to too many people, cause eventually no one would believe her, if in fact she really was going to harm herself. What would you have done? Would you have gotten mad about a friend who was joking about suicide? or?
