Any tips on going pro?

My husband is a very talented golfer. After a hiatus in his golfing, he has decided the time has come for him to focus on his dream of becoming a professional golfer. How does this all work? I know next to nothing about golf except that I've seen him play, I know he's amazing, I've heard comments from other golfers watching him when we're on the course. I know he can do this. He's away right now or I'd be asking him these questions. I know he has to get into tournaments, right? Is that just a matter of applying for them or what? I'm going to be buying him a membership to a club as a gift. Should I also get him a membership to the usga? Does he have to be a member of that to go pro? I'd welcome any advice. Thanks!

Gd luck to him getting on the nationwide tour or if he's lucky the pga tour. If he wins once, you wont have to support him anymore.

Wow! That is very impressive. I don't know much about golf, so my advice would be pretty useless, but good luck with it all and please keep us posted. It is fantastic that you are so supportive. He is a lucky guy!
