A promise the Lord gave me today. 17For the Lamb at the center of the throne will be their shepherd; he will lead them to springs of living water. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes."Revelation 7:17 The scripture promises comfort in our suffering, and He will wipe away every tear from their eyes. Very nice, a very powerful and comforting promise for of us who suffer and for all of us who feel pain. If I look very close I know that there are still many who suffer more than I am, still many out there cry the tears of injustice, abuse, unfaithfullness, even loniless and I can imagine how their hearts ache and long for healing. Others even die crying, but we have a promise that in heaven He will wipe each tear from our eyes. Indeed, God has promised that He will wipe away all tears in heaven (Rev. 7:17), but until then the healing will be incomplete. Grief lessens but does not dissipate. The psalmist said that while God’s Word gives life, there is still the combination of “comfort in my affliction” (Ps. 119:50).
