Have You Ever Been Desperate?

Can your landlord actually force you to vacate in two weeks? Don't you have a lease? I hope something positive comes along to assist you in this predicament.

I was wondering the same thing, about whether or not you had a lease and whether the landlord could legally give you two weeks notice... You would have to dig out your lease and see what it says... If you find yourself in a financial bind, one option - although not the greatest option; nevertheless, it is something if you find yourself in a tight spot - is to check into places that give a "payday advance loan" - places that will give you an advance on your paycheck. The downside of these places is that their loan usually comes at a high rate of interest, so again, you need to watch the terms very carefully. Or, depending on your employer - maybe you would be able to explain your situation - and if your employer is sympathetic, maybe they would give you an advance on your paycheck (or cut you a check for the half of the pay period that you have already worked)?
