Do you feel like you wear a mask in front of people you don't know?

No, I do not wear a mask in front of people. In fact I get pretty annoyed with other peoples need to do this. I actually prefer to shock them into dropping their own mask. This does not make a lot of friends for me but those kinds of false friends I do not need anyway.

Absolutely! You don't know what kind of audience you have, so you don't know how much of yourself you can reveal until you do. So, you tread lightly, wearing a mask so to speak, until you know if you can take the mask off or merely change hats.

Everyone does. Everyone feels out the situation, they try to learn what the other person is all about while keeping the real them guarded until they know the other persons likes, dislikes and such. And kind of to feel out what you can and can't do and get away with with that person that you do with others and etc.

i think to a certain extent we all adapt ourselves to the people we are with in any situation. i bother less these days i must say. take me or leave me but im always me. just think what is the point putting up a mask if what the other person is going to like is the mask not you??

My mask consists of smiling and trying to be friendly towards everyone and it gets annoying when you don;t get the same response back. My mask has become very dark over the past few years there are certain things not too many know about me because if its not something they want to know they often don't listen. Which makes it hard to turn to someone when they don't and will not ever know the real true you.

Oh, absolutely. You really can't tell people a lot of things because they can be really hard to deal with later on if you make a bad impression. You have to be very neutral and pretend you really have no life or opinions because you don't want to offend them. No dark humor, no provocative humor, no political humor, there's really nothing else! You have to have no substance just to be on the safe side!
