Yes I believe children should be forced to stay in school until they are 18 years of age . Many children quit today and always intent to get there GED but the majority of children who quit will never do this and will never be able to support themselves in the real world because in todays day and age you need your grade 12/13 ( depending on where you live ) to even work at McDonalds . You can't even pick up garbage off the side of the road without your grade 12/13 .
Children don't realize how important there education is to them and feel that they can always go back but the truth is there are so few who ever do go back and realize too late that they never should have dropped out of school .
Children who drop out will always have a harder time in life then those who at least stay and finish their schooling with low grades .

No i don't think they should be forced to stay in school cause if they don't watnt to be there they are going to make trouble for the kids that want to be there . If they don't want to learn then they will have to learn when they are older and it will be harder for them but they should not have to stay if they don't want to .

I believe they should be made to stay in school til the age of 21. If there were laws to keep kids in school past age 16, which is what the law here is right now, I would have graduated highschool. I would have made a lot of different choices in my life if I had been forced to stay in school until 18 or 21. And, if something doesn't happen soon, the way this world is falling apart, things are going to just continue on the down hill slope.

i agree with you to an extent. I dropped out when i was 16. I'm 18 now and i sorta regret dropping out. But in a way i am glad i did it . I didn't want to be there anymore. I was never happy there and it should be up to the student whether they wish to stay after the age of 16. By the end of the time i was in school i dreaded going cause i hated being there so much. I would miss days and say i was sick so i wouldnt have to go. I have my reasons for not wanting to be there and the school would do nothing about even if i asked. so i just let it go and left.
