Braxton-Hicks Contractions --- Question regarding this

Okay, so for the last week I have been trying to have a garage/yard sale... this means I am doing everything by myself (pulling the tables out, moving all the boxes into the yard and organizing the clothes and accessories) since my husband is at work. Well I also had to make signs and put them on the road so people would notice I was having a sale (which meant dragging my sons stroller around on grass - which the wheels like to turn whenever they want lol) and I seem to feel overwhelmed by the time I am done with all of this. Last night, I ended up going into the hospital thinking I was having 4-minute apart contractions (I am 29 weeks along) and when we got their they said that my cervix was closed and that the monitor showed no signs of contractions - which in turn meant braxton-hicks....
my question to you all is, could all this work I am doing turn into true contractions or will it be braxton-hicks until she is ready to come herself? Am I overworking my body to make these contractions come on or does this have nothing to do with why I am having these contractions? Is there a way of stopping the pain when it arises or do i have to sit through the pain?

Braxton hicks are normal and can be frequent and severe to the point that they are mistaken for regular contractions. After all, it's the body practicing for the big day, lol. But they can also be more frequent and painful because of stress and overdoing it like you apparently did. And yes, braxton hicks can turn into real contractions.
If you encounter this again, make sure you lay down and rest for while. Your body is giving you a signal to slow down if they come like this. Your stress level has an impact on the baby and your baby obviously doesn't take it well. At 29 weeks it's a bit early and you don't want to take any risks. So, please sit down and try to relax. And also discuss this with your doctor at the next check-up.
Wishing you a healthy pregnancy;)

thanks for the information. I know that I have been doing too much but I am desperate for money right now lol... I need to do the sale to make some money (made $15 within a couple hours so I dont think I am doing too bad)
I have my doctors appointment tomorrow and am going to talk to him about this since it has been going on for a week now... I didnt have braxton-hicks until the later days of my last pregnancy (within a week of having him) so it did worry me... I have to talk to him about a few things regarding my pregnancy tomorrow anyway so hopefully I dont forget it all... and notes dont help cause I never read them once i get in the doctors office lol
