Are You a Light Or Heavy Sleeper?

I could be either one, because I can sleep really hard if I'm very tired from a long day of doing a million and one different things. There are times that I sleep through everything, in a way that's not so good, because if something happened, like a fire or something, It's a chance that I wouldn't wake up on time to get out the house. Still there are other times when I sleep really light, a sound of a bug crawling could wake me up.

I used to be a sound sleeper til I had kids. Once I had kids I feel like I almost sleep with one eye open most of the time. So I don't get the sleep I really need unless I'm utterly exhausted and the kids stay put. Having kids and critters & occasionally working late hrs don't make sleeping w/o disruption very easy in my house.

I consider myself as a heavy sleeper.
I can't take naps though, and I don't know why.
But I remember one time when I was about four, my mum was snoring and I couldn't sleep. That would be the only time, that I can remember, that I wake up because of a small sound. :P

Hi there miraclefreebies!
It depends on a lot of factors. There are times when I am very exhausted that I sleep deeply that no matter how hard you wake me up, I wouldn't. There are times when I sleep lightly that even a murmur would wake me up. More often than not, these are times when I am bothered by something or when I am excited about something that will happen the next day.

Hello! I am a heavy sleeper.I sleep late night and get to sound sleep so that I can't hear any thing happening out side the room not even the alarm sound of the mobile phone.Deep sleep of six hours is enough for me to boost the body metabolism.thanx.

I used to be a very light sleeper, and would wake up at the slightest sound, usually the kids! I had a hysterectomy last year though and ever since then I have been a really deep sleeper, so deep that I do not even wake up if the kids shout me in the night. Luckily my hubby does hear them so if they are ill then they are not going to be left alone, but it is very frustrating because I find it really hard to get up of a morning. I was told to get my blood pressure checked because it could be due to low pressure, but it seems like a bit of a mither to go to the docs just to get that checked, I would feel like I was just wasting their time and it is not really a problem.

Hi friend!
Well I'm always a light sleeper. And though I'm such I can easily go back to sleep whenever I'm awaken.
It's true that when we're feeling very very tired we tend to sleep deeper cause our body is recharging energy again. We cannot prevent that cause its part of our body clock. I think we must also have a regular sleeping hours. We need to have at least 7-8 hours of sleep to always have energy for the rest of the day. And when we don't hae enough sleep say yesterday, you would notice that you would sleep longer and deeper the next day.
Ciao!

I am hard and light sleeper. But i spent more time sleeping hard than light. At times i can go on sleeping till afternoon. That really annoys my parents.I have tried a lot to resist not to sleep that long but in vain.No outside sounds really bothers me during my sleep except at the beginning of a sleep. If there are lots of noise outside when i star to doze off then that sleep becomes a light one.

I am definitely a heavy sleeper. When I fall asleep I don't wake up till my alarm goes off. I have also had where my wife will tell me something early in the morning like she is running to work or to a friends and I will wake up and wonder where she went because I thought she was supposed to be home.
And yes this doesn't happen all the time, but it has happened :(.

i am a medium sleeper, i cant say that im heavy nor light sleeper as i do not easily awake and i do not sleep too long either. but there is this bad habit of mine that, i cant wake up if i heard the same sounds everyday, which is why i cant wake up by the same alarm sounds, no matter how loud it is. this make me have to change my alarm sound every month so as to wake up on time :D

I think I am a heavy sleeper. I mean, I love sleeping and it's been a habit that is hard to break.
I could spend hours sleeping, and regardless of whether the surrounding is noisy or what I tend to get my dose of sleep easily.

I could consider myself a heavy sleeper, sometimes if you try to mess around with me i would not wake up. So i had my benefits, if there's any disaster comes i would not mind letting the hurricane sweep me away. LOL

I am a heavy sleeper. I just love to sleep and even though its so noisy outside i still can sleep. I dont mind of them shouting or what they are doing as long as i went to sleep then i will sleep. NOt like others that if it is so noisy they cant even sleep. Oh yeah..lucky me i am not like that.!

I am a very heavy sleeper. When I'm sleep, I can't hear anything. I feel like I don't need my alarm clock because I never hear it.
