What you guys know about "ANESTHESIA"??

Hi friendz, I came to know that in a year 21,000,000 people got anesthesia and went to sleep without anything they woke up.but in that 30,000 people are very unfortunate they got trapped in anesthesia awareness and got screamed but their voice cannot be heared by others..They are still AWAKE...This concept i have seen and proved in medical field (Anesthesia is given before the major operation).Whats your view guys??

I did not know about this. Oh God that must be terrible for the people who got trapped in anesthesia. I never heard about this. But thanks for providing this information. I will try to read more about it. I have been given anesthesia twice and touch wood I did not have any problem. But its better to know about the possibilities. I knew that anesthesia is not given to small children, since they may stop breathing. So I am anyways afraid of anethesia. But now I feel bad for those people who caanot sleep even after being given anesthesia.

I have heard of this and just having had two surgeries I was very conscious of this and mentioned it, they assured me that it was very rare and they would place some sort of monitor on me they they used for people who might be extra aware. I guess that means people like me who are nervous about being put to sleep. I know a lady who this happened to and it is a scary thought.
I do not know what happens to the body when put to sleep but I know I always wake up very sore and uncomfortable. I am not to sure I want to know what goes on.
