how will you know that the guy/girl you love right now is the one?

i am sorry to hear about your former relationship, but we will never know. we can just speculate on the matter. there is always unknown factors affecting our relationship. i guess we can just examine our own feeling (and intuition?) and try to trust it. if we feel comfortable with our relationship with our partner, it's a good sign to go further. and vice versa. don't worry, somehow you can usually trust your feeling, your conscience. good luck with your current relationship. congrat on getting your upcoming baby (or babies )

i think you will know if he/she is the one if you see yourself growing old with him/her, if you see your future with him/her... but it is still not guaranteed only few of us having a happy ending in so called game of love.

I have just recently ended a relationship and I honestly thought he was the one, from the moment I met him it felt completely right and different than my previous relationships but like all the rest it turned on me and he showed himself in a way I really didn't think he was like. I have never married nor did I ever want to marry but all that changed when I met him and I'm in my late 30's so I'm not young and naive, so I have no real answer for you but I agree and I'm left wondering the same as you, perhaps it's all just hype it's never going to happen "the one" is just a fairy tale we delude ourselves with, so make the most of all that you do have and all the best with your baby.

The best way to know if that person is really meant for you is to simply ask your higher self. Each person whether male or female has masculine and feminine side. The feminine side is called the intuitive, wisest part of you. Ask her and be patient you'll be surprised at the answer.
