Start A Scene Or Let It go.

You are at a store you are the next in line or the next to be waited on by the cashier and he/she states who is next someone that was there after you breaks the line or is waited on before you for some reason. How to you react to this situation? Do you say sorry I am next? Do you get angry and start a scene? Do you just let it go? It all depends on how I feel at the moment or how the situation happened in the beginning. I have been in line at the store and someone rudely pushes his or her way in front of me I will politely say I am next please. And if they won't to start a scene I just let it ride. I don't like to draw attention to myself.

If someone pushes their way and tries to get in front of me I will never allow them to go. But if I see someone with a child and the child is getting impatient then I myself ask the person to go in front of me. Or sometimes if I have a long list and the person just behind me has just a couple of items I let that person go before me. But all this depends on my mood at the moment. If I am tired and irritated I would like to finish and just move out of the place as fast as possible. Then I forget all my manners!

You write absolute right. If the reason & person is really genuine than we should definitely allow him/her come in front, but it panic when it is not genuine.

I would speak up it's rude and in my opinion they think their time is more important than mine which it isn't and I would be quite loud about telling them but not loud enough to cause a scene.

I agree you should speak up. Don't let no one run over you. I guess I am just getting soft in my old age.

I'm like you, I don't like drawing attention to myself and will let it go. Besides, what purpose would it serve to create a scene? It just wouldn't be worth it however, on the flip side, we have to defend our right to be there or others will start to run over us but I'll let someone else do that job. lol
