Hi there rowe0525!
I am currently teaching in one of the universities here in our city. I love my job. I enjoy the activities associated with my job. It's one of the least financially rewarding jobs here in the Philippines but definitely a noble job. I like my job because it gives me the best opportunity to share my knowledge to other people. I have been in this job for eight years already.

At present, I'm with my third employer for nearly four years now. Just like my other two previous employers, all of these are local savings banks. I graduated from college way back in 1996 and had to review for six long months and take the CPA (certified public accountant) board exam in the same year. Sadly enough, I failed in the test but I still consider myself fortunate to land and job during that year. In fact, they were the ones to call me up while I was having a vacation in my hometown. Aside from this, I was able to land a job which is related to the course I studied and finished.
I've been in the working force for more than a decade now and still counting. But several months from now, I fear that I will be displaced from my current job because the company I'm working with is facing financial difficulties and is planning to close shop by the end of this year or until the first quarter of next year.
I can view this as a break from the stress of an employee's life but I couldn't possibly be jobless for a long period of time; mainly because I'm already a married mom and needless to say, our daughter is dependent on me and my spouse. We do have plans laid out already in time of my being out of job. Hopefully, this will push through with God's help and guidance.
Anyway, being much older and mature than you are, I advise you to just enjoy the remaining months of your being a student because once you step into the real and business world, it will be very much different and you'll find it very tiring. Sometimes, I say that, "..the only consolation for having a job is the earnings."

I am retired but I still do odd jobs for people. I started work at 18 and retired at 65 and despite being disabled I was never out of work. For over 30 years I was the manager of various laundries and the last job it was 29 years.
