how can we help the people on the brink of STARVATION???

It was days ago until i received an invitation from a "End-Hunger"Programme called WVSP(World Video-Synchronization Program) when i knew about the fact that: Every day, 862,000,000 people fall asleep with an empty stomach;Every 5 secs, 1 child on the planet dies of hunger... How horrible... So i googled "world starvation" later only to find it's been a very very serious problem around some certain regions in the world like Afrina... If there's still anyone who knows not much about this problem, you can go to the website (www.wvsp.net) for furthur information. So, i was just wondering if i could do any help. I bet there are many many people like me who don't know anything about this, or just ignore this problem.
