Were you a blood donor?

It's nice to help others but there are so many ways to help people. You can be a doctor, police officer, a lawyer or politician perhaps. Well, they can all serve the public.
Another way is to be a blood donor. Before you can actually donate your blood, it must match the other party's blood type. In this case, it is quite a risk for some people because they might get a certain disease. But no matter what happens, there will be a lot of people who are willing to donate their own blood for the sake of someone's life. For me, individuals like that are indeed "true heroes".
Have you experienced donating your blood?

Yes, I have donated my blood many times before, but I cannot do it right now because I am still recovering from surgery. I have to wait until November or December to donate again.

I salute you because at least in your own way you are helping others to survive.
Thanks for your response!
