if that's how he feels, then he's rather pathetic. real men don't feel threatened if a woman is better than them, or earns more than them, or is cleverer, more educated, senior in a work capacity and so on. I'm better than my partner at quite a lot of things. and he's better than me at some things. and we'd both admit, I'm better than him in most situations. but he's also calmer and more laid back than me, and I need someone like that in my life. someone who can just be there and support me when I need it.

Galena is right. There are things I'm good at, and there are things that I really suck at. Men who feel threatened by "better" women don't have the balls to be called men. It all boils down to respect. Respect what each of us can and can't do, and accept ourselevs for who we really are.

there are instances where i find this to be true. not just with husband and wife but with men and women in general. men tend to be intimidated with independent women, especially women who are high achievers. at work, they usually get insecure if the women earns more than them. men are defensive. that's just what i observed!
