Blogging...I am new to it...Can you make any money? What to Blog About? Newbie

I have alot of interest in blogging now. I know I am a bit behind the times so to speak but have been off line for quite some time. Back then I was doing fairly well in the PTR world and even owned my own. But those days seem gone now. So I am trying now to really find a way to incorporate interest and research along with blogging. Any information, tips, how to's, sites etc. would be very helpful. My best friend was in a very serious accident last December I began creating signs for her wall in her bedroom little inspirational amd motivational creations, sayings, poems etc.even some humor, this really helps her to feel much better. Currently she has had another set back and that is what got me going on this as they have given her a computer at the hospital so I send her little bursts of positivity or make her smile its all worth it. I am considering a few other medical topics we well such as symptoms, recovery etc. including not just what we consider "tradtional" medicine but herbal and holistic findings (as far as individual blogs are concerned on illnesses and problems she has been through as well as my own and others of interests). I plan to expand this to help others as well. I have worked in the medical field off and on and have access to quite a bit of information as long as what can be found here on mylot and the internet as well. One last thing I am trying to do is let her know she is not alone with the help of others sharing their stories, remedies, short cuts, and anything that has helped them through their journies as well. (If you belong to my space I am also posting on there pm me if interested because I would really love to majorlly boost her friends--right now she has me and that "Tom" guy everyone gets. I am online a lot and am really on a mission with this (she means the world to me and there is so much more to this but no room hereand so very very looking forward to not only helping her but others as well, which in turn will also help me too! Not only that but anyone that reads any of her own creations will feel her deep faith, hope, love and desire to not feel alone anymore and help others feeling the same pain, lonliness and unanswered questions or feelings.
