As we all had to bear the end of the Harry Potter books, have you moved on.
What are you reading now?
Still looking forward to something from the world of Harry Potter or looking for new books with new ideas???
I am waiting for the movies to be released so for me Hary Potter isn't over yet.
What is your story??

Just harry potter is over doesn't mean that all of the book in the world is not worth reading compare to harry potter? I have many thing to do beside reading though but you should read some other fantasy fiction. There lots of book and I believe that we will find one interesting soon!

After I finished reading the Harry Potter books, I read it some pages again to read some things that I have possibly ignored or I wasnt paying that much attention. But I have no problem about getting over reading Harry Potter even though it is my favorite book. I love reading and I love reading romance novels.

I have moved onto Robert Jordan's Wheel of the World series. Though, this is not as compelling as Harry Potter series or the Lord of the Rings, it is still quite interesting. Also, it has 11 volumes so is bulky and goes on for a long time.
Cheers!

Ok, I'm embarrassed to say that when we'd reached the end of Harry Potter, I just picked up number 1 and began reading the whole series through without breaks. However, I'm about 1/2 way through book seven now so I'm soon going to have to move on (heavy sigh). I appreciate the recommendations here. During some of the breaks in the HP books, my boys and I read the Artemis Fowl series. We really liked it too. Not quite so much as HP, but nice to fill in the gaps. My boys want to read Levin Thumps (sp?) next. Has anyone read that series that can recommend it?

It's funny - after I finished Deathly Hallows, I couldn't pick up another book for a whole day. It felt disrespectful somehow! But, voracious reader that I am, I DID move on.
I read the Twilight Series by Stephenie Meyer, the Gemma Doyle trilogy by Libba Bray, the Black Magician Trilogy by Trudi Canavan - and that's just how I've kept myself busy in the fantasy genre. I also enjoy virtually anything by John Saul or Harlan Coben. I've read over a hundred books since the end of Harry Potter.
That said, I can't WAIT for the films, and the Tales of Beedle the Bard can't come fast enough. Neither can that encyclopedia J.K. Rowling has been toying with writing.
