Non-veggie diet good for your brain

Read that scientist found that those of veggie diet lose more of their brain when they get older - shrinkage is more for those on veggie diet. They say the brain needs Vitamin "B" that is found in milk/diary products.
Not surprisingly fish oil is ever good - that has been know for a while already.
And if you like alcohol - beer is better to keep your brain size than wine - this is new to me. But I suppose if one does not drink a lot it will not make much of difference in choice betw a little beer and a little wine.
Any opinion on the veggie part - some vegans might disagree?
