I was lucky in that all four of mine were born in hospital, I made it every time. It must have been a bit of a scare for you having your daughter in the front of your truck! I am glad that you were both OK though.

oh.. what an experience.. wonder how you and your hubby felt at that time?
I had all my three birth at the hospital. The first was induced, second baby.. the water broke while the third.. we planned for the delivery since the cervix has opened 3 mm(not sure about the units tho!). so we planned the delivery so that we can manage our other two kids which we sent to my mom-in-law. BTW, i was induced for the third birth.
All the three birth were normal delivery with the first two were assisted delivery.. they had to use the 'vacumm' because i was too tired.
Now i am with my 5th pregnancy (4th was miscarriage) and i do hope that it will be normal delivery as well..

I had both of my kids at the hospital. I did consider having them at home but it is to scary if something happens. I want them to get help as soon as possible and if I am home that is one car ride to long. I am a paranoid parent as it is. I dont want more stress.

I have 3 children all of which are grown. They were all born in the hospital, only by the skin of my teeth. The first my son Parker when I went into Labor on December 22nd, I was kindly shoved into a Taxi Cab by my family whilst in the middle of a football game on TV. I was told to call if I was going to deliver for sure. Parker was born exactly 9 months to the day.
My daughter Tisha was born on January 11 and I was out shopping for most of the day, and had just gotten on the city bus to head home when my water broke, and the contractions started. Luckily for me I knew the bus driver. He had called his company and they told him to get me to the hospital ASAP, they wanted no babies born on the bus. Tisha was born at 10 1/2 months .
My youngest child Danielle, was born on Elvis Birthday January 8. My husband and I were over the road truck drivers, and i mainly took care of myself without a Doctors care. I made sure to have plenty of Iron and Vitamins and I ate right. With Brittany i would deliver at 11 1/2 months. You can actually really carry a baby longer than the norm and have a very healthy child. She came when we had a weekend off in Sunny Southern California. We were driving down the road and hit a bump and my water broke. It was a 15 minute drive to the nearest hospital and very little time to get there. By the time we reached the hospital I felt it was time to push, I barely made it to labor and delivery. I finally got upstairs with the help of a nurse. She ran to get a Doctor and all she could find was an Intern. All I could think was that this Intern his name was Dan, was going to be delivering my kid. After I furiously screamed a yelled for a Doctor I screamed at Dan. He delivered me a beautiful baby girl. So the moral of this story and the story my kids tell profusely to this day is. I got Danielle's name from yelling at Dan to get the Doctor.

I delivered at the hospital, via Csection. I was 3 days past my due date, all day i had noticed that the baby wasnt moving. Around 330pm i called the doc, and he said to come in to the office and they would put the monitor on adn check everything out. Well baby was fine, they did an ultrasound tho to be sure, and turned out that baby had went from head down position (which he was 4 days prior) to sideway. Doc said we can let the baby turn itself but would be at risk of wrapping cord around neck, so he asked if i wanted Csection. I was more than ready to ahve my son and get him home, so we agreed, and so he sent me over to the hospital and at 1154 pm, on May 28, my son Maverick was born.

I have 2 kids. My first child was one week overdue that's why I was induced. With my second child, I had a placenta preveae but I had my son 6 days early. Both of my pregnancy had a probability of going through a C-section. I had normal delivery with both of my children. No regrets of giving birth in the hospital. I feel safe, secure and have a sense of peace of mind.

I just recently gave birth to my lovely daughter who is now a month and three weeks old. I had her at a birthing home nearby. All hospitals were too far I was afraid I would give birth suddenly and won't make it in time to the hospital so I opted for a one near our home.
Her older siblings two boys ages 6 and 3 now, I both had at the hospital.
