I couldn't sleep last night, anyone else have the same problem?

If you do then please, any suggestions as to what to do? I went to bed early as I thought I was sleepy but after an hour I was still tossing and turning in bed. So I decided to have a warm drink. This meant going into the kitchen where I got into a half hour conversation with my son who had just come in from the pub. Feeling sleepy again I thought brilliant! .... but yep .... 2am and I was still awake. I think I finally dozed off about 3.30 in the end. And then was woken by the dear OH's alarm for work at 6am. Guess what, its just after 8am and I am going to work and you know what .... now I'm sleepy and ready for bed!!.... lol ... Any and all help gratefully accepted.

One thing that helps is calcium tablets. And exercise before bed. Go for a walk, actual aerobics, etc.

Why calcium tablets? I'm intrigued now?

Well last night was the same problem and I couldnt sleep. I dont know how my body is surviving on the amount of sleep I am getting lately. I have been thinking about the suggestion of going for a walk before I go to bed but wont the fresh air just wake me up rather than make me feel sleepy? I am not one to turn to sleeping tablets but a work colleague suggested herbal sleeping tablets. Has anyone else tried them and what are their thoughts? Or of the use of sleeping tablets in general. Its not like I have things on my mind that are keeping me awake. I'm actually sleepy when I get in bed!
