I am not a part of a multi-level marketing company at present, but I have in the past. I think they get a bad rep because people sign up, and they don't read the fine print in the agreement as far as payments from it. Then when they run afoul of the rules, which are perfectly legal because they signed to it, they get mad because for one reason or another, they won't get paid this time. Then they go around telling everyone that will listen that XYZ program is a scam. I have been a part of two MLMs in the past. I am no longer with them for one reason alone. They weren't for me. There was nothing wrong with the programs, I just didn't like the payment structure. This is a big note that everyone should take down. When evaluating an MLM, read the TOS and make sure the payment structure makes sense and is right for you!!!
