What do you normally give as a gift to someone who just gave birth?

Normally, I would give them baby toys which is for 6months+ or soft baby toys. I dislike giving them cloths or hamper as the cloths will not last so long.
What about you?

I like to give something they would need. If they are close to me, I would ask them if they needed certain things. When my sister gave birth, that's what I did and I think they would appreciate the gift more that way. If they are not so close to me, a good gift would be diapers, not for newborns because they outgrow them quickly, but maybe a S or M size. That was one of the greatest gifts I received when my daughter was born. My mum and aunt pooled some money to get a box of diapers of a well-known brand which is used in hospitals, very hypo-allergenic types. It did not last that long because my baby pooped a lot then. But it saved me a lot of money.

I received things such as clothes and diapers and flowers. You can give picture albums , new parents take tons of pictures and need albums to put them in. You can also buy little kits where parents can make a print of there babys hand or foot in clay, these are my favorite.

It depends of what new baby they have.. If it's a baby girl I will give them a pink blanket, floral little dresses and little stuffed toys for their pretty girl. If it's a baby boy I will give them a blue blanket and a pair of little socks and some little pajamas for their cute baby boy... Happy mylotting...
