Has anyone baked bread or a cake on top of the stove?

Have you ever baked anything on the stove top? I heard that it can be done. If so, how did you do it. What was the quality? Do you have any tips.

You can make griddle bread on top of the stove. You need a griddle or you can use an ordinary frying pan. Griddle bread is made with baking soda and cream of tartar (not yeast). I have made it a few times and it always tastes delicious. You should use a bit of milk or plain yoghurt for texture and then shape the bread into a loaf, or smaller loaves (these will cook quicker).
