Do you all believe that there is someone out there for everyone? This has been pounded into me for years and I was just wondering what everyone elses take on it was. I know what my take on it is, if it is true, then where is the person that is meant for me?

I don't believe in that line: "there is someone out there for everyone".
It's just too fantasy. I mean, how do you explain those who become religious people who decide to stay single, what happened to their 'someone'? How bout those who end up being single blessedness.. What happened to their 'someone'?
I don't think it's a matter of pairs. I don't think there are pairs in the world and that everyone is meant to find that one true love in a person.
I say, it's more of: There will be a right happiness for everyone.
Some would find happiness is their organizations while others in families. Still others with friends and peers, while others in pets. There are many forms of happiness and it don't necessarily mean romantic happiness. It's too cliche to be looking for that 'someone' for surely, everyone would understand by now that if a foundation of happiness will always be 'someone', then it wouldn't really last. Remember that there are divorces, there are temptations, there are flirts, and there are screw-ups.
I don't mean to be so negative. I'm not really losing hope about meeting someone to share my life with : Well, in fact I'm with someone right now. But the point is, never depend your happiness with someone else. It's bound to fail. Instead, build up your happiness and then you can choose to 'share' it with 'someone' or 'something' or some organization or hobby. Just for goodness sake, don't entrust all your happiness on someone. The world is much to imperfect to depend on others for happiness, instead, share your happiness with the world. But of course, happiness must first start from you.
