I am a pretty good typer even though I never typed for many years since I worked in an office. My skills got worse as the years went by but now that I am a member with mylot my skills have improved greatly. I can now type again without looking at the keys and just looking at the screen. I don't make very many mistakes anymore when I am typing so I don't waste very much time correcting errors. I think I can probably type about 60 words a minute now. I know I used to be able to type about 80 words a minute when I was doing a lot of typing but since I don't work in an office anymore I am not as quick as I used to be. I typed this response in about two minutes as I had to think first about what I am typing and saying. But I am pretty quick, all the same. I love to type and that is one of the reasons why I love being a member with mylot.

i found a site that gives you a typing test online. you just type a paragraph they give you and they tell you how fast you did it. my average was 57 words per minute. if i'm typing my own words i type faster than that. its harder when you have to read and type it.

I do not want to cover my self I am proud of to say that I joined the Government as a English Typist in the year some time in 1971 and to day have the experience from typist to an manager in the the corporate office dealing with the commercial business. I was having typing speed of 50 w.p.m at that time when I joined and still I can say that I can type at the speed of more than 50 w.p.m. How you see it please commend and have nice day.

It's a very long time since I did a typing exam and at the time I had forty words per minute. That's not to say that there wasn't some typos in it. Now I would say that I am down to about twenty words per minute and I always have to go back and correct my typos. I am getting worse by the day.

Well, the last time I checked, my word per minute was 71 and very little errors. I was able to hone my talent in typing through my current job. I even learned how to use the home keys without looking at the keyboard. Lol.

When I learned to type in High School (before computers were so widely used) I took 2 years of Typing Class. We used the IBM typewriters with the "ball" printer (the "latest" at the time) I could type 90wpm on my fastest timed test! I'm out of practice and I have no idea how many I can type now. I'm much older and also I broke my left hand last year. I'm sure that has slowed me down too.

I dint go to any typing class but by the regular use of computer I think I must be typing at least 30 words per minute. I usually text fast. Since I write a blog I know my keys better now.. :) The color of my keyboard also looks different.. Well by seeing the keyboard I can type a minimum of 30 words per minute. By seeing the screen I can type only a minimum of 15 words per minute..
