what is it with durians?

For it has a strong smell that you would definitely notice it. And for me it's delicious. It's just that the skin is so think and the edible part is so small. There lots of processed food that has a durian flavor like candies, ice cream. You can try that first and see if you'll like it. Happy eating!

If you have not tasted durian before, go try it, its HEAVEN!!!! Many people avoid it because they think it stinks, but seriously, it doesn't, maybe it is just me but IT SMELLS GREAT!!!! U can sniff it out MILES AWAY!! that was abit exaggerated, yeah you can smell it a mile away! haha Taste great to be frank, sweet with a tinge of bitterness. D24 is supposedly the best (D stands for Durian and 24 stands for the plant species). The best i've tasted so far is called the Durian Gajah (Elephant Durian), it is about a metre in diametre and the fruit is HUGE!!!!!!!! probably the size of my palm. MAN I LOVE IT!!!!

yes Durian really taste very good once you used to it. I like the big yellow one. I jut forget the name of it. There are many Variety of durian but hey all taste good to me. I hate Durian before, just the smell of it makes me feel sick. I really don;t like it. But when my friend persuade me to eat, oh!!! it makes me feel addicted to it. Just try it, Sure you will not like it in a few times but if you keep on eating it together with people who really are Durian eaters, Oh!! you will love it. Trust me. I am not a Durian eater before but I learn to eat it with friends who eat Durian like crazy..

a lot of people dont like durian because of the smell. but my friend told me that it really tastes good, creamy and not that too sweet. But i dont really like the smell. and its an aphrodisiac too. the most delicious i guess is the variety of davao and its quite expensive too.

I like it actually. I come from Singapore, which is a country that loves durians. I never liked durian from the start, but when my Mum went to put it into the freezer, and she told me it tastes like ice cream, I decided to give it a go. Since then I love durians, taken cold or not. Throw away those disgusting descriptions and give the durian fruit a try, it might surprise you. However, some people still dislike it. So it depends on personal preference. Why not try durian ice cream first. It's nice as well.

DURIAN!!! = MY FAVORITE! the best ones are D24 which has this shape of a 20cent coin at the bottom of its shell. That is how we identify them. Taste a little bitter yet sweet. Trust me, if you think it smells horrible, just take a small bite but if it smells alright or great to you, you won't regret eating them :D Please people, do not term durians as a smelly fruit. It just happen that the fruit didn't smell pleasant to you :D haha. Just got to be careful of the amount you're taking. It's really heaty People usually use their shell, add water in them and drink them to cool down or eat mangoesteens after that. BARE IN MIND! DURIANS ARE NOT SMELLY! haha.. YUM!

Yes durians are delicious. I don't think they smell horrible, they just smell too strong that it's even banned in hotels, etc. My family likes to eat durian. Some people find durian so delicious that they eat a lot. But eating a lot of durian can make you fall sick (fever).
