I think in my case it would be tooth pain, i took painkiller pills like candy and still no effect - the only thing that helped me was ... water - it was the only remedy that could actually calm the pain, but not stop it for more than 5 minutes... My pain started on Sunday, so until this morning i had no choice but to sleep it off.
I had and appendices operation when i was younger but although it hurt, it was by far less painful.
How about you, what is the biggest physical pain you ever felt ?

OOhhh! Toothaches! Had lots of those when I was a kid and yeah those are probably the worst kind of pain yet. Its like torture. You're wide awake, take lots of painkillers that doesnt seem to work, cant move else it would nudge the pain a notch higher, cant eat, too painful to sleep either. Worst of all, like you've experienced, it could last for days.tsk3
When I had toothaches I just lie down and not move as much as I can just to try to suppress the pain. I try to sleep it off either. At least when Im asleep Im incapacitated that I dont know anything that goes on. It would be another battle when I wake up though.tsk3

Hi there my friend. Unfortunately - that couldn't work for me as if i went to sleep my face swallowed far worse and would start to increase the pain greatly, so i tried to stay awake as much as possible.
Fortunately now is a bit better and i think that next week i will finally get rid off this problem.

About 13 years ago I had surgery to remove a tumor from my ovaries. The incision didn't heal right (it was about 5" long and right above my nether regions...it didn't heal right b/c I found out later I had the start of diabetes) so the dr. had me come in so he could check it. While I'm laying on the examing table and he's looking at it and without any warning or numbing whatsoever, he pulled a scalpel from his jacket pocket and sliced the incision open! I think ppl heard me scream on the other side of the city! It was like from the waist down I was literally on fire. He then started digging in it with these long Q-tip looking things and when I wouldn't stop screaming he just up and walked out. He said he wouldn't do anything till I stopped and if I didn't like it I could walk across the street to the Hospital (like I'm gonna do that with my innards hanging out)! Something snapped in me and suddenly I wasn't there anymore...it was like I was overtop of the table watching everything. My Mom kept talking to me but I was hearing her from far off. He came back in, finished cleaning it out and packed it...I never made a sound and never felt it. I've refused to ever have any kind of physical since then that requires any of my clothes to come off. The dr. was later sued by another patient and lost his license and I beleive moved to another country.
Oh, and the tooth ache thing...I know what you mean...I had one years ago that was so bad I had to go to the ER and they gave me a shot in the *ss and I don't remember anything but dreaming of bugs on my face. My Mom said I was hallucinating and everything all night. I don't know what the shot was. I was on Morphine pills for a week b/c it was infected and they couldn't pull it till the infection was gone.

Hello elitess. I have had a few terrible physical pains in my life, but the biggest pain that I have ever had was kidney stone pain more than a decade ago when I was working in an area where the water is very hard and many people get kidney stone very easily. I could not suffer it as it was too painful. But now I am very happy as I have been away from the area for more than a decade and I don't have this case happen to me again. By the way, the area I used to work and live is a mine, a tungsten mine and the water quality is not good at all because it contains mine substances. I am glad that I am away from it. Cheers. Thank you for being my friend. Good day and take care, friend.

I pulled a hamstring once and it was unbelievably painful. The muscle literally snapped and left a bruise up and down my thigh. It took me out of running for several weeks.

I once had one of my toe nails pulled up in the hospital. Although I was tranqulized, I still screamed until the rest floor all came to see the poor me. And for the following monthes i had to be tortured again and again when i went to the hospital for reexam.
That was the story and now, my nails are all right. I then believe however painful it would be, it'll go.
Have a nice day!
