If you mean that you want to remove the BIOS password, the quickest way to do that is to remove the CMOS battery. Replace it after about 2 minutes and restart the PC. The BIOS will be reset to the default settings and should have no password. If you mean something else, then you need to be specific about your operating system and what you need to do.

Removing the battery is in most cases not enough. To make sure you will reset your CMOS/BIOS setting, you need to replace the jumper (which is near to the battery)Put it back, replace battery and that's it ! If you're talking about your Windows XP Password, then you can always download Windows Password Recovery!

You can either try to guess the password yourself but this is a painstaking process. If your mother board was manufactured before 1996 try the default password is usually the initials of the manufacturer’s name. You can also remove the CMOS chip or the battery and then wait for twenty minutes before installing it again.

the boot password is kept in the cmso section. so the best way to break it is by removing the cmos battery keeping it out for a short time then replacing it. this will reset the password on boot up and you wont have that prompt anymore
