what if ?

Whenever I am with my parents and they see someone on the side of the road they always stop and help.One time we picked up an older person who had us drive all over an unknown town to us and she couldnt remember where she lived.So she ended up going home with us since it was about 3 in the morning and in the morning we took her to the police station and they were able to contact her daughter who picked her up and thanked us for helping her mother out. So when I am driving and I see someone on the side of the road stranded I always ask if they need help.But recently my dad told me people were being robbed that way :[
