Hi Savypat, As the song goes, silence is golden eh! I love spending time in total silence, how can any one totally relax and wind down with the TV blaring, computer on, someone playing musice in another room, the hustle and bustle of the world around. I wait until my son is asleep and then chill for about half an hour in silence doing nothing and find I have a clear head and am ready and reenergised to do something else. Before my son was born I used to take myself off to the beach and I had a special rock I would sit on early evening and just watch the horizon and get lost in my thoughts. To me silence is very important and although I love people I enjoy my own company very much too. Ellie :D

Silence, it means to me a lot when I am with my Girl friend. Really not joking... because she doesn't allow me to speak.... Lol

Silence is very important, I believe I need at least 15 minutes a day by myself, just thinking and not being troubled by anything from the outside world (except maybe by what I decide to think about) after I have this time I feel better, maybe even have a more optimistic view of the world.

Yup, i like silence too. It is hard for me to think with so much noise around even if it is music. Silence gives me a feeling of peace. I can concentrate well and think well if there is silence.

To some silence is an uncomfortable state ,but for me silence is something I need ,my life wouldnt be the same without silence,it is soothing and comforting, the silence lets you unwind,it relaxes the muscles that have tautened and allows you to clear your mind. There are many who find silence something that is unbearable, and I am sure that could be true.

Silence is very important. It is necessary for the quieting of the mind. I discovered the power of silence a few months ago. When I practice it, or what some refer to as meditation, my whole life seems to get re-aligned. My world is less frantic. I have more patience. I make better decisions. I appreciate more my everyday blessings. I experience peace.

I like silence. Silence gives me time to think and contemplate more because I do nothing other than think and contemplate. Silence also gives me peacefulness of mind which helps me to understand things around me better. I think it is important to have a silence moment for a while everyday. An hour would be enough if you can really drowned yourself into the silence and make yourself think about what you've done that day, what are you going to do the next day, or what are doing now. I think it is a good thing to be able to keep silence. because silence is golden :)
