My Lot friends

I checked the profiles of some of my friends that I got near the start of my time on My Lot. One of them logged in 4 days ago but has had no activity in the last 60 days. I guess that shows he is still interested in My Lot. However some of the others haven't been on My Lot for more than 6 or 12 months. Would you delete an My Lot friend that has no been longer active on My Lot for months? What do you think?

Well, personally we all will have Friends on here who have not logged in here for months, or maybe a yr. or so. Since I have a lot of friends, I am always going thru my friends list from time and deleting the ones who have not been active in here for over 60 days unless they are a Personal referral of mine. If for some reason that person ever decides to come back in here and get active again, they can ask you to readd them, or you can readd them again then. We unfortunately have a lot of members here who are quitting being active on here all of the time so I feel it does not hurt to update like this as well.

I dont usually delete friends who are inactive. There must be some reason why they became inactive unless they just became bored with mylot. Most probably I will start deleting them if I were not to have space for new friends but is that possible? I mean how many friends can you accumulate on your mylot profile?

hat's something I need to do. Cul all my friends who haven;t logged in for over maybe three or six months. It's just such a huge task, it'll take some time to get around yo iy. It really makes a mokery of the number of members myLot claim, the number of active members is probably only about 50 - 60% of that figure.

I often do that. Every once in a while I go trough my list of friends, answer the ones that have been posting new discussions lately and checking for those that haven't been active for some time. My cut off time is usually 3/4, if someone hasn't been in here for that long, chances are that the person is gone.
It is complicated to find someone in the friends list since there is no way to organize differently. So I prefer to trim my list and leave in the people that are active and out the ones that aren't for a long time.
I would love to be able to organize the list by alphabetical order or any other way that made more sense to me than what it is, but this way I just have to do a clean up every once in a while.

Absolutely, I would delete unless that person wrote and told everyone why. Like one of my friends has a relative with cancer and won't be back for awhile. That is understandable. But some people come just for the money and when they can't earn a lot each day, they give up and do something else. So I would definitely delete anyone who hasn't been here in months without writing an explanation before they go.

I have the same problem. I don't really want to delete these friends but they don't seem to be active.

No, I do not delete mylotters off of my friends list due to inactivity. You just never know when any of these people might come back. I've seen a few people on my friends list come back months after they logged in last. Deleting inactive members isn't being much of a friend, in my opinion. But that's just me.

I do a friends list clean up every once in a while... and i usually delete those who have not logged on for months and had no activity for the last 60 days... i think that is just fair... since they have been away from mylot for a long time now... that way... i will have room for more friends who are more active... and i can search friends easily...

I check my friends list at least once a month to see who isn't active. I try to keep
my list between 90 and 100 so that I can manage them all. I have everyones notify
buttons on so I get their discussions in my email box. I respond to a few of the newer
discussions just so I can keep informed with what is happening around mylot, and then
I go to the oldest ones in my email and respond to those, that is why I am now responding
to this discussion which is 5 months old.
So today I am going to clean up my friends list again. Any of my friends that haven't
been logged into mylot for 3 months or more, I delete because the reason I have them
on my list in the first place is so I get their discussions in my email and I don't have
to search out for more.
So yes, If it was me, not you, I would get rid of them and find some new ones that
are active.
Alrighty then, talk to you later my friend,
Have a good mylotting day, Chris

Hi Maxine, This is an interesting question as recently someone who became a friend when I first joined posted a discussion and they had been away nearly the whole of that time period as they had had a new baby and wer shocked to find that they had been deleted by many of their friends, luckily I still had ther notifications on and could answer and explain that a lot do delte after a certain period of inactvity and not to get too upset by it, they posted and responded for about a week and have been inactive again since so some people come and go as they cannot because of other comittments be here that frequently and because of this incident I don't delete unless it is someone who I know has definitely left or who is someone that has never ever responded to mine or to a response I have left. I thought about this subject and have received feedback about this subject too. At first I was in favour of deleting inactive users but than at a second thought people can return back . So it's better to leave them on your list in case they return.

I have gone through and deleted the non active ones at least once since I've been here. I'm probably due to do it again when I have time.

I know some of my listed friends are the same and there were some that hadn't had an activity at all in even longer so I deleted them as if they are not active there is no point as they probably just don't use it and just haven't bothered to delete their account! x

I don't think I would. It's effecting my progress on mylot, and I you never know they might be back. I think my lot should have some time of a requirement like, your account would be canceled if you didn't log in for once in twelve months.
Personally I don't think I'd go the process of deleting them.
