just copped out and answered the bjillionth discussion on what is
'the most favorite flavor of ice cream for you? should we ask
for a ban on this subject for discussions? tongue in check here
as I hate banning. anyway my question is what is the most
'goshawful flavor of ice cream you have ever tasted ? and would you serve this flavor to your ex boy or girl friend? If so why, because if would make them gag, or what? And would you in all
faith ever make a discussion about ice cream?

Hi Hatley. No, I don't think there should be a ban on any topic, even if it becomes annoying - provided it's newer members who are starting the ones that are the most prolific. When you first start on here, the entire idea may be new to you - OR - the English language may be relatively new to you. So, you ask the first thing that you think people will answer, or the easiest question you can think of in a language that's not your own. For instance, if I were writing on a Spanish site similar to this, I would probably ask, "Cual helado es el mas popular en tu pais? Cuantos sabores de helado sirvan alli?" It is something I can think of in a complete sentence - I asked "Which ice cream is the most popular in your country? How many flavors of ice cream do they serve there?" I think to a degree it's natural for a newbie or a new English speaker to ask easy questions. Once in a great while, it's even fun for us "elders" to ask what appears to be a simplistic question because it is something we were just thinking ourselves. I've tried the search method with no success to see what was asked before. All I get is discussions that are a year or more older, so I have no idea there are more recent ones. And, the friends on my list aren't the same as the ones on someone elses, plus I'm online at a different time than those in England or Japan or Australia or India.
So, while the questions may be annoying, I don't think they should be forbidden. If they annoy us, we should just bypass them.

Oh crap! I forgot about your ice cream question (to show who among us read the entire discussion, perhaps?)
There is a jalapeno ice cream on the market somewhere I read about. The thought of it makes me want to gag. So, I do believe I might send a quart or two to my ex-husband who is of Mexican descent, but who HATES spicy foods!! I learned a lot from his mother and sister about cultural cooking, but he didn't like the hotter stuff. Yeah - I'd like to toss a little heat his way.

No, but what there should be is more originality when creating discussions. Come on people, create discussions that no one has seen before or heard of before. Come up with discussions that are original. Come up with discussions about your favorite television show, your favorite comic book or graphic novel, your favorite book, your favorite toys, something that is original.

I have actually started a lot of unique discussions on here, and if people would read them, they might learn a thing of two.

ohh dear hatley thanks for opening this discussion up. that is the most funniest discussion and interest i have. whenever i get to look at icew cream discussion it is always about what flavor is your favorite . when i was still new i still response on those but now i still do but not as often as i did before for it is no longer fun to respond a discussion that is repetition. but well what can we say there are a lot of members here.

Well no need to ban discussions on favorite ice cream flavor. If I don't like the topic, I can always skip it. No need to ban... it is for us to choose which topic to respond to... so who cares if they posted it a million times already. For as long as there are those who care to answer then go!
Now, about your question on most goshawful flavor of ice cream I have ever tasted. I would say none so far. I don't eat ice cream often and if I would as much as possible I'd eat my favorite flavors... the traditional simple cheese flavor or the macapuno ube flavor. However, I have tasted other flavors as well but so far they are also good.

hi salonga 12 months later still ice cream flavors but we now have an over abundance of really scrappy all out at war discussions on the health plan. I just avoid those as you cannot put down your own opinion without someone being nasty and rude.

12 months ago! How nice to receive a response to my comment posted a year ago. Glad to know you are still doing fine and certainly still enjoying your favorite ice cream flavor. Thanks for your response! Have a wonderful day!

Morning Hatley, the very idea that they should ban discussions about ice cream favorite flavours. I demand to face no controversial issues today and concentrate only on earning a few cents by answering as many ice cream flavour discussions as I can. Of course it won't be repetitive at all as I will have to choose a new favourite flavour each time in order not to repeat myself.
But you've broken the mould here and asked for least favourite my dear Hatley so I would say mouxla icecream, that's the one that's gone a bit mouldy. Would I serve it to my ex, certainly not, he's not stupid and wouldn't eat mouldy ice cream.

Yes! And there should be a ban on topics that cover "Bux and ice cream pizza toppings" as well! lol. There will be no discussion topics from me about ice cream I'm afraid! Worse flavour I think I ever had was Durian and I also don't like ANY ice cream that has even the slightest hint of mint in it. I would serve both to my wife if she liked it yes, but not for me!

Hi Hatley,
As I have said one time to a friend here, my Sister loves me more because I don't like ice cream and she always end up getting and eating my share! LOL!
I have no tried responding to a topic about ice cream but I have tried talking about it when exchanging comments in my friend's post and the topic wasn't all about ice cream and we ended up talking about it..LOL!
I will not start also a topic about it! for sure french fries, I will! hahaha!

You are hilarious Hatley. Thanks for such a good laugh. I can't think of any icecream which would be bad enough to serve my ex. Even though, those I have tasted may not have been my favorites, they still are too deserving of him. No I wouldn't start a discussion about icecream and usually I would never answer to one, but today you have made the exception. LOL.

Well, not really. Any flavour of Swedish Glace soya based ice cream will do me (non-dairy). And it's really good with some fruit cocktail from a tin, with it's syrup. And...and...and, what about knickerbockerglorys. Those concoctions served in a tall, ice cream coned shaped glass. A mixture of ice cream, fruit, chocolate, sponge... I can go to a veggie restaurant, where they can do me a vegan version, yum!!!

Think it is also possible to get rice-based ice cream now, so there's another constellation of flavours waiting to be tried!!

hi bombshell yes we are free to pick anything we want which is'true and I guess I was just a tad irritated last year, now a new year who cares about all that anyway.now it is a war on the health bill and I refuse to get into that as my own opinion would only getinsulted.

i'd feel really insulted and hurt if there was ever a ban on discussions on ice-creams, coz it's like my FAVORITE FOOD EVER!!! I don't really get why there should be a ban anyway, seeing that there are som many other questions that get answer time after time (eg what's your favorite fruit, what's your favorite sport, I've made discussions on those topics before!). I've never tasted an ice-cream I don't like. I pretty much like anything cold and icy that goes into my mouth.

hey! it's her/ his own discussion he did not beg you or force to answer the question it's 100% up to you if you give a damn minute on that thing.. we should not ask to banned that discussion.. well there's a freedom in here..hehehe maybe the one who posted that don't know what icecream flavor she/he likes to eat..halohalo I hate that flavor a lot. so i'll surely serve it to my x boyfriend because i also hate him..
