I guess my favourite book has to be "Once" by James Herbert. I love this book so much and it really helps me to escape from the realities of life! I think that I have read it about six times now and I never become bored with it. The book's about this solitary chap who is involved in an accident and he returns to his childhood home and recuperates. It's a book about myths, fairies, Elves and the hidden world that we used to believe in as children. Whenever I'm ready to do some serious reading, I choose my favourite chair, there's a nice mug of tea by myself and then I suddenly become engrossed in the book and I can totally forget about time!! Reading, an absolute gem!! Andrew

You know i am fascinated by stories about fairies, myths, elves and the hidden world. I will look up for this book when i have the chance to go to the bookstore. This is the reason why i love the Lord of the Rings Trilogy because of "Middle Earth". I am looking for the book "Making of Middle Earth" here but i haven't got one. Thank you for sharing about the book. Nice meeting you on here.

wow that is hard for me to say. I have so many books that I think are amazing like THings Fall Apart, Angela's Ashes, and Tis. I am just now reading Tis but it is buy the same author as Angela's Ashes. THings Fall Apart is about a Nigerian Tribe and their traditions and stuff like that and then the European world comes in a tries to "civilize" them which well I will let you read it to find out what happens. It is a powerful book and probably the one I have read the most. Angela's Ashes is about a young Irish boy's life: Frank McCourts life and it is amazing. OH OH another great book to read is Night by Elie Weisel and Alicia:My Story which both are survivor accounts of the Holocaust.

Hi, welcome to MyLot! Hope you have lots of fun here. OK, my favorite books among the favorites must be Angels and Demons, by Dan Brown, who is also the same author for 'Da Vinci Code', 'Deception point' and Digital Fortress.' have read all his books and find them amazing. Angels and Demons, for one, is awesome. Truly the work of an ingenious story teller. Gripping, taut, engaging, and not to mention extremely gross. The murders are too gruesome to be true. The book is explosive from the start chapter to the rest. It can hold you up for the whole night. It is one of the best books I have ever read.

My favourite book is of course The Lord of the Ring. The movies that based on the bood is also my favourite. Actually I don't really understand it well. But I still find it amazing. How can the author Torkin find such a wonderfull imaginary word. I can always find something new when I read it again. Harry Potter!Yes! The series can have a great appeal to us little girls. The magic world can really represent the feeling of us teenagers and also children.
