Are you afraid to stay alone at night?

My daughter and brother are working nights again and that leaves myself, my elderly mother and my 3 year old grandaughter alone at night. It's been a while since they have both been working the same shift. I am a little uneasy by myself, with them in the bed asleep. If I don't sleep a little bit then I can't get up and take care of the grandaughter while her Mom sleeps. But when I sleep I hear and imagine all sorts of things. I get to thinking that someome is inside the house and I just about panic. Any ideas on this? I think it might be about a year that it will be like this?

I am dreadfully afraid of being alone at night and I'm usually panicky anticipating being alone. I have to take pills that will make me sleepy but even that does not help. Usually once I get past 3:30 am I can tell myself that morning will come soon and then I can rest comfortably.

I have not been alone at night in a very long time. I almost panic at the thought of it. Thank you for your response.

Yea,sometimes I will feel afraid to stay alone, especially after seeing some horro movies~~My ideas to overcome this kinda feeling are turning on the light and closing the doors of external-link rooms, such as kitchen, after that I will feel a little bit good and saft~aha`~lol

That's me. If I am scared I have to close the door that goes out to the hallway or I find myself looking in the hall all night long.
