have you ever been to Batanes?

i haven't and i want to go to that place someday. tell me about the experience. will i be one with nature when i go there? the head dresses that the people wear during storms really fascinate me. what is there to see? are they commercialized also or will i be going back to barrio days? share please.

I want to go there. I used to have an officemate who would promote Batanes to us. She would show us pictures of the place and of the church.
She got married in Batanes and had her wedding in the said church. I am attaching one of the photos.

Being in Batanes is a very different experience.
It seems like you're not in the Philippines. Basco, their capital is just like being in the province. But it's cooler there even if it is in summer.
Summer time is the best moment to visit there.
The mountain slopes are covered with smooth grass like in New Zealand.

i haven't been to batanes, too but this is also one of the many beautiful places in the philippines that i would love to go to someday..happy travelling =)
