many were disgusted and agitated with the craft dan brown had exploded in this controversial book. many were puzzled and many was moved through the foundation with regards to the root of their belief. many people also believe that this was just a ploy for the author to earn big, compromising the big religion of the present time and mind you, he made big out of it...for me i was not shocked from it for this action that try to discredit the infallibility and image of Jesus was not new, this happens before telling many that Jesus never bring again to life. if i have this book its worthy place is the junk shop for all what it contains are all junk...how about you would you do the same or what?

I didn't see any problems regarding to this book. I think this book is interesting an amusing for the readers. I like this book and i know that this would be a controversy because of the content. But it is a fiction. A fiction is remain a fiction even it is based on some history or some little fact around us. And a fiction is a fiction and I think Dan Brown has made a good job by making some research before writing the book and that's why it looks like a reality. I have this book and I put it my bookshelf

let me ask you what is fiction when you pick on something which is really sensitive to touch with or do brown really has someting against the church and he used writing as a way to attack it just like the old days, that when he was question he resort to saying this book is only a fiction when everybody else is going nasty about what he wrote..thanks friend

It is okay if you don't like this book, but from what I see you are offended because the story in this book use Jesus in the story. How if he used another character that is not Jesus, do you feel that it is still a disgusting book? Or you would find it amusing? To be objective to see this book, I saw this book as an entertainment. For me, this is no more than a fiction, and to be honest I like it.

I really can't see how anyone would be disgusted by it.
it's just a book, and not a particularly good one.
I enjoyed reading it. but I wouldn't read it again, as there was nothing that made me want to re-visit the story. it's just something to fill a few evenings sitting and reading, then get on with life.
so I enjoyed it, it was worth reading, as it was a few hours entertainment, but it had no impact on my life.
I'm as Pagan now as I was before I read it, just as I'm sure other people didn't change their religion because of a work of fiction.
so.
I really don't see where the controversy lies with it.

i do respect your point of view with regard to this subject, good for you that this book shall not be something that in any way will affect you but it serve rather to be another blocks that will separate you from the way of faith in the Lord Jesus, it may serve you another reason to be more of a pagan or unbeliever. but let me say this word for you, I do very much pity you, you and all the people out there who will be lost forever eventually as a result of this so called fictionary and amusing book of mr. brown...i hope you will find your way in the faith on the Lord Jesus to salvation, and scape the way of destruction you are walking in right now...pardon me saying that...

I am not an unbeleiver. just a different sort of beleiver.
I respect your opinion. but I can assure you, my religious beleifs are as strongly held as yours. I have a personal relationship with the Gods.
I would never consider it okay to tell you your religion is wrong, even if it is not my own, because we all have to find our own way.
I don't beleive in your religion. you don't beleive in mine.
fair enough.
but I'll not be talked down to like that.

I enjoy the movie and the book.
I like you am amused by the time and thought some of us have put into the book, it is fictional right?
And while some people might agree with the book and others might have believe what it says to be truth before the book even was written, I am not sure where the cotroversy lays at.
I will not put it in a junk pile but rather as a nice piece of literature, anything that makes people think is ok by me.

I respect your opinion.
My two cents are that Mr Brown might be guilty of offending some, but he really is not to blame for people losing faith in christian religion.
Christians Leaders do a good job with out his help.
To me the man is a writer, then he made a lot of money and he goes on as he was.
I am not sure what his aim in life was other than making a living in doing what he loves:writing.

thanks friend for the compliments,,you see we people of the present are the one that will be responsible on what picture of the future will be, what we do and did not do today will be the reality of tomorrow, what we decide today is the very thing that awaits us in the future..taking you back to the subject what mr brown has written in his books may somehow affect the mindset of the people living at present and will likely greatly affect the religious mindset of the people of the next generation. you will never ask why in this point of time in the future as the bible says will be perilous time and the people will have that kind of attitude and mindset so evil and godless as the bible address them, why it is because of how we shape our life today and shape the very mindset of our children who will be the people of tomorrow..thanks for the contribution of mr.brown so called amusing, entertaining, and fictionary so called book of him, he has made his purpose of creating a faithless generation of our time

i dont agree with you in junking the book. perhaps you are one of those very devoted catholics. don't get me wrong i am also a catholic but i consider what is written in the da vinci true in some sorts. if you have read the second messiah book you will know why. besides, if it is really true then we have nothing to do it as it happened way,way back. it's just a matter of acceptance.happy mylotting.

i think we all make a mistake accepting what dan browns idea of the real status of Jesus..for me i cannot accept such idea specially when the idea came from someone like da vinci who in his time has something against the church of his time, did it ever came to you that davinci is just a plot portraying dan browns own atheistic belief and the davinci of the book is brown himself...
