I would rather be self employed every time. I'm free to find clients that I want to work with. I'm responsible for my own income. I'm free to take a break or quit for the day when I feel like it. If I want to earn more, I'll find more clients and take on more work. As long as the income is coming in, I'm free to do as I please.
When I was an employee, my boss told me how much I would earn. He told me when my break was and how long I had before I had to be back doing what he wanted. I dealt with clients that made my life very difficult and I could only go home when the boss said I could.
I think I like being self employed SO much more

well definitely both.. working for someone you get the experience that you need and if you're working in the field for a type of business you would like to have your own someday; than you'll already have the knowledge/background to get started!

I prefer self-employment. Working as an employee for another company never appealed to me. I don't want people bossing me around or telling me what to do. I always wanted to be on my own. In fact, I'm thinking of putting up a small business. I just need further studies on how to run a business.
And to work as an employee will not get you out of the rat race that's why I want to become an entrepreneur so I can earn passive income. ;D
