Have you felt so betryaed by someone so much that you felt like giving up ?

Have you ever felt so betrayed by someone you know so bad that you felt like giving up ? How did you overcome this ? How were you betrayed and do you speak to this person today ? Are you friends still or you no longer speak ? What was there reason for betraying you ? Have you forgiven this person even if you no longer speak ? How hard was it for you to forgive ?

I am feel betrayed by the situation, not by any person per se but by what happened. this is the story, all my life I thought the name I was using was correct, let's just say my name is Peh (my nickname only just pretend it is my real name) now people would often mistook my name for FE, and I would always correct them that my name is PEH not FE, then one day when I get my birth certificate I discovered that my name was really FE, I am so confused do I went to the civil registry why it happened. For some time and when I asked for a copy from them It always appear that my name is PEH then suddenly when I asked for the statistics office, my name is really FE, so we dig on the record and saw that my name is really FE. It so happens that when I was registered my mom wants my name to be PEH but the person who registered me mis wrote it and it became FE, when this happened my mom tell the civil registry to changed it to PEH apparently they were not able to change the original copy.
I feel so betrayed because all my 26 years I was telling and correcting people that my name is not the way they say it, then suddenly I would know that my name is the one I believe it to be.

How horrible that would be to only realize years later that your name was not what you thought it to be .

Yes my friend betrayed me and it made me sick and i didn't know what was wrong with me . We talk now but i will never trust him like i did again . it didn't take me long to forgive him cause he is my cousin and i like him but he hurt me when he betrayed me .

Yes friend that I thought were there for me have betrayed me different times . I talk to some of them today but have not forgiven all of them . with each of them it took me a different length of time some not as long as others . I was betryed by them repeating things taht i asked them not to repeat .

i cant remember off hand of any situations where a friend betrayed me. but if i had been i guess it would depend on the situation and how serious it was before i could say whether i could forgive or not.

Hi there samtaylorskykierajen!
I have been betrayed by someone whom I thought was a great friend. It was hard to accept it at first and I was really very angry. I still speak to this person today but we are no longer as close as we used to. I guess time heals all wounds and so I can stay civil with her around but I must admit that forgiving her for what she did is something I can't easily do.
